Supporting Peter is not really about Peter Obi. It is about us. It is about the kind of people we choose to be.

There comes a point in the journey of every nation when its people wake up and say, "Enough is enough. We need a different kind of leadership." That is where Nigeria is today. This is no longer politics as usual. It is about competence. It is about leadership that thinks beyond the box and, more importantly, beyond ethnicity, religion, and social class.

For the first time in our political history, we have a presidential candidate who boldly tells the world, "I don't give shishi." It has become more than just a slogan. It is a call for Nigerians to take back their country.

Many people interpret "I don't give shishi" simply as a refusal to buy votes. But there is a deeper meaning that is often overlooked. Peter Obi is saying, "I trust you to do the right thing." He is telling Nigerians, "You are worth more than a bag of rice. You are worth more than the cash shared during elections. You are people of dignity and values, capable of making sacrifices for a better future."

His message is clear: we cannot achieve the right destination through the wrong process. Yes, he wants a better Nigeria, but not at the cost of compromising the very principles that will sustain it. If building a better Nigeria requires breaking the rules, then it is not worth it. We cannot reject the old system while using its methods to gain power.

Supporting Peter Obi is, therefore, a reflection of our own values. It is about deciding that integrity matters, that competence matters, and that the future of our children is worth more than temporary personal gain.
If we truly desire a better Nigeria, a transparent Nigeria, and a nation free from corruption, then we must begin the journey the right way. We cannot fight corruption with corruption. We cannot build integrity on compromise.

The seeds we sow determine the harvest we reap. If we sow honesty, sacrifice, accountability, and respect for due process, we will reap the Nigeria we have always dreamed of. But if we continue to justify shortcuts because they seem convenient, we will only reproduce the same system we claim to oppose.

The choice before us is bigger than Peter Obi. It is about the kind of Nigeria we want, and the kind of Nigerians we choose to become.
