@RonDeSantis@RonDeSantis I believe in you, but please get this for all homestead properties, regardless of their value. What is being proposed is more of a tax credit than an abolishment of property taxes and it only works well for lower cost housing.

@Cheryl424185405@RonDeSantis There’s a difference between abolishing property tax and increasing your homestead discount. Maybe this “abolish tax” term is just fancy marketing for “larger discount” on homestead properties.
I get that but it’s a drop in the bucket for homes with higher value. Especially where the taxes have increased a lot over the last decade.
If the concept is to not have your already paid for property subject to government tax/rent on your land, it should be abolished entirely across the board regardless of home value.
Great change, but only if applied to everyone. Not just a “middle class”. All your points make a lot of sense until it’s limited on homes up to $250k or possibly $500k. 90%+ homes in South Florida exceed these amounts. All these people singled out. How is that right? The rules should be applied fairly and equally to everyone.
For “92% of the state” but homes with real value are not part of this legislation. I would bet over 92% of south east Florida homes value over $250k with a huge percentage in the millions of dollars. Not sure why these homestead properties are left out. The state has enough money. Why discriminate against homeowners that have more sizable value in their homes?
@RonDeSantis I agree with all this, but the playing field should be equal across all homestead homes. Not just up to $250k or $500k. The concept of continuing to pay a tax on land you already purchased should be abolished regardless of what you paid for your home.
@joshpuckett Your render is nice, but this car does not align with the price tag. $640k starting price is too high. Maybe $150-$200k and it could find some market fit. For $640k you can get well built Ferrari Purosangue with a V12 that drives incredible.

I’m on the highest plan you guys offer before enterprise and yet it’s been struggling for hours to finish a single document.
