This summer, @EvergladesREC members joined the fun at Yesteryear Village for a special camp program focused on sustainable agriculture!
Students from Little Dude Ranch Academy explored hands-on learning with our faculty and students—experiencing a little bit of everything from each department.
It was a great day of education, engagement, and eco-conscious fun! #SustainableAgriculture #yesteryear #agriculture #HandsOnLearning
My master’s student, Aradhana Regmi recently presented her work at #FSHS where she evaluated various phosphorus (P) release strategies to improve P use efficiency in sweet corn. Her findings were both insightful and valuable for shaping our next steps.
Last week I had a great opportunity to talk about nutrient management for over 100 participants of BMP training at EREC and also learn about other best management practices at EAA. EAA growers doing their best to keep phosphorous away from the water.
The @EvergladesREC proudly hosted the first EAA Best Management Practices (BMP) training of 2025, welcoming over 120 participants!
A huge thank you to our speakers, consisting of @UF_IFAS faculty and industry professionals, for sharing their expertise and insights.
These workshops focus on reviewing the operating principles of the BMP program and providing participants with the latest information on implementation strategies. We hope that you can join us for upcoming trainings. #Sustainability #Agriculture #Training #Education #workshop

I am excited to share our recently published paper at #STOTEN. Seawater flooding of agricultural land could potentially result on the release of potentially toxic metals. What does this mean?
Check out our recently published paper on the integration of machine learning and empirical models with DSSAT crop simulation model. @haimwater @UFTropical #machinelearning#DSSAT https://t.co/nFhzCUlHCx
(1/2) @UF_IFAS researchers sought to discover how saltwater intrusion and rising sea levels impact the soils of south Florida. In their greenhouse flooding experiment, the researchers found that flooding of soils with saltwater
