CHIKE IBEZIEM HAS BEEN DETAINED ILLEGALLY FOR TWO MONTHS WITHOUT TRIAL or ARRAIGNMENT

It is quite shocking that this young man has been under extra-judicial police detention for 2 whole months now, WITHOUT Trial or Arraignment, for allegedly defaming and cyber stalking Babatunde Fashola.

Allegations of defamation or cyber stalking as the police is accusing this man is NOT a murder case, and all accused deserved bail and speedy trial under our law! So why are they keeping him in detention without trial?

Even though the Court have granted him bail, the @PoliceNG have REFUSED to release him unless his brother @IruefiNG (who seemingly is the person they think really committed the ‘offence’ shows up). If that is the case, Why punish a young man for the alleged ‘sins’ of his brother??
THIS IS 2023 FOR GOD’S SAKE.

I do NOT know Chike Ibeziem and I also DON’T know his brother @IruefiNG personally, other than that he is a @PeterObi supporter, but I am still using this little medium I have to speak up against this oppression for one reason: If you keep quiet in the face of injustice, when it gets to you, you shouldn’t expect anyone to speak out for you.

I will never support impunity even for any NIGERIAN or any Human Being, Rule of Law must apply to all.

So I beg all Obidients and Nigerians in general, to speak out and if possible step up to help this man get justice. The @PoliceNG should arraign him in court if they think he has done something wrong and stop abusing power to score points. 🙏🏾
