Thank you, Jersey City. Tonight our people-powered movement made it clear: JERSEY CITY IS NOT FOR SALE. We took on the machine and won because families are demanding what they deserve — a city they can afford to live in. Our mandate is simple: make Jersey City affordable, fight corruption, and build a city that works for everyone. An affordable Jersey City starts now — and I’ll never stop fighting for it.

Today we celebrate the resilience, culture, and contributions of Black Americans—and we recommit ourselves to the work that remains. Happy Freedom Day, Jersey City.
This week, we held community meetings in Ward F and D where I heard directly from residents about our vision for building affordable housing in Jersey City. I'm committed to always putting the community at the center of my decision-making.
Today we released our Interim Budget Report, which previews the budget I will be introducing on July 15. It also gives a forensic look at the $255 million budget gap we inherited, including $109 million in unpaid bills.

Today we’re launching the Senior Freeze Campaign, a citywide public outreach effort to ensure every eligible senior signs up for the state's property tax reimbursement program. We'll be knocking doors, staffing our call center, and helping seniors sign up: https://t.co/bAQpNtagYB

.@CitizensBank made a choice to finance the caging of human beings for profit.
@JerseyCity is making a choice too: we won't be complicit and we’ve already begun the process of pulling city funds.
I appreciate the advocacy of Councilmembers Brooks and @jake_ephros on this issue.

$1,149 for a three-bedroom home.
This is what's possible when you use PILOTs to build for working people.
Jersey City has applied for THREE TIMES as much grant funding in just the first quarter of 2026 than the City did for ALL of 2025.
Why does that matter? Every dollar we receive in grant funding is a dollar we save of YOUR taxpayer money. It's just one of the ways we're working

(2/3) Just a few months ago, Thyson sent me a full plan for how Jersey City can better support our Deaf residents. To honor his legacy, it is a plan we will turn into reality.
