“I wasn’t the fastest guy in the world. I wouldn’t have done well in an Olympiad or a math contest. But I like to ponder. And pondering things, just sort of thinking about it and thinking about it, turns out to be a pretty good approach.’
– Jim Simons
Reminder: America is not a Christian nation. It is a nation in which you are free to be Christian. Or any religion you want. Or to have no religion at all.
@SaltyGoat17 The money end up in the coffers of American companies who have become dependent on the labor and income from these people…. Why you hate poor Americans? What are rounding to uplift them?
@AlanWolan Not my job to police the activities of anyone including poor people and then ostracize them based on my personal morals, values when I live in a society that has a system of economics that ensures a permanent underclass? Why should someone’s comfort in food make me uncomfortable
@dalepartridge No binary option here dale, freedom means I don’t east time with either and go about my life, you have the freedom to do the same or start culture/religious wars… sure god loves that
@AlexDuncanTX They picture this temple and you spouting this dumb shit via twitter because America is for Americans and they express their religious views and sentiments FREELY you idiot troll account. Jesus couldn’t save you but i bet he mows your lawn
Ugh, it turns out "top 10% by income IS NOT half of all consumption!" Rather, the top 10% is responsible for closer to 35% of all consumption, which is much less dramatic.
Should've realized the number was suspect the moment I noticed it comes from Mark Zandi/Moody Analytics. He made up some suspect statistics on the contribution of the Ukraine war to inflation vs IRA, where he overstated the former and minimized the latter without doing any real analysis other than intuitive guesswork. Going to Bayesian-update Moody's Analytics as baseline non-credible going forward.
