Today, I stand in solidarity with the Ukrainian people against this war and with the Russian people who are demonstrating against their corrupt, reckless president who started it.
Your highly relevant daily reminder that Kyrsten Sinema has received over $750,000 from Big Pharma.
She's now opposing drug pricing reform, even though she campaigned on the policy in 2018.
Funny how that works.
Billionaires avoid taxes because they think they can spend the money more efficiently than the government ... and they are using the money to try and go to space ... which the government did 60 years ago.
Jeff Bezos would pay just over $6.3 billion under my wealth tax with @ewarren — less than the $8.4 BILLION he made on TUESDAY.
The ultra-rich can afford to pay their fair share.
The devastation in Gaza is unconscionable. We must urge an immediate ceasefire. The killing of Palestinians and Israelis must end. We must also take a hard look at nearly $4 billion a year in military aid to Israel. It is illegal for U.S. aid to support human rights violations.
I swear, it’s the same three headlines every single week:
- police shoot unarmed black man
- mass shooter bought guns legally
- very rich man made a lot of money
Canceling student debt does not require the approval of the parliamentarian, Joe Manchin or Kyrsten Sinema. POTUS can unilaterally erase that burden for millions of people through executive action —and he should.
They said to vote for Biden in the primary because he’d be able to work across the isle. He got zero Republican votes and couldn’t even keep his own party together on massively popular legislation.
I voted for Joe Biden, not Joe Manchin. 2 more years of the wrong Joe calling the shots? No. Not acceptable. 76% of Americans wanted this bill passed - WITH the minimum wage increase. So that got tossed. And 8 Dem senators voted w/ Republicans to kill the minimum wage. Shameful.
LMAO. @kyrstensinema is claiming sexism for people rightfully shaming her for her indefensible vote against the $15 minimum wage. So let me be clear: Fuck Kyrsten Sinema & any other fraud who tries to use identity politics to deflect from their hatred of the poor & working class.
The $15 minimum wage just failed, because 8 Democrats voted against it. The Democrats broke their promise.
The Dems who voted no are:
Joe Machin (WV)
Jon Tester (MT)
Jeanne Shaheen (NH)
Maggie Hassan (NH)
Angus King (ME)
Kyrsten Sinema (AZ)
Tom Carper (DE)
Chris Coons (DE)
There is not one state in our country where you can make ends meet on the current federal minimum wage. Not one! How quickly would Congress raise the minimum wage if they were forced to live on $7.25 an hour? Outrageous.
The first 42 days of the Biden admin is showing exactly why folks are critical of the Dem party. The only thing they did immediately without any hesitation or debate was drop bombs overseas
$15 hr is $31,000 a year of 2,000 hours of hard, often unglamorous work.
Day in, day out.
These people making $174,000 a year won’t cede this most meager baseline.
Though I have a MBA, I don’t need an advanced degree to know how utterly shitty that is

It is utterly embarrassing that “pay people enough to live” is a stance that’s even up for debate.
Override the parliamentarian and raise the wage. McD’s workers in Denmark are paid $22/hr + 6 wks paid vacation. $15/hr is a deep compromise - a big one, considering the phase in.
