Very honored to have attended the Journalist week in Seoul, South-Korea. I presented @TenkFaktisk and how we work to teach source awareness and media Literacy.

You know you’ve got an important track at #GlobalFact9 when Halvard Hølleland, Norwegian State Secretary of Education, shows up to discuss #medialiteracy.
The final session at #globalFact9 gathered close to 50 organizations for the first step towards a Global Media Literacy Network. We need to join forces against mis- and disinformation. Looking forward keep up the good work.

As #GlobalFact9 concludes, I’m overwhelmed with the innovative approaches to media literacy, the support for each other and excitement for the collaboration to come. We had nearly 50 people from across the world for our last #medialiteracy event.
Our #NewYearsResolution is to help as many people as possible become better fact-checkers. Here's an easy tip: Lateral Reading.
@sreenivasan explains how you can put it into practice yourself!
@hennif @SisselBT @SHEG_Stanford @faktisk_no@mediawise Absolutt. Takk for tilbakemelding.

But millions already saw it. @RealDonaldTrump posted it to YouTube, his campaign & son @EricTrump shared it on Twitter, and it’s spread widely across social media.
There’ll be more misinfo like it. Stop & search when you come across something that might be edited out of context.
This video is pretty easy to debunk. It’s real, but it’s MISLEADING because it was edited out of context to make it seem like Biden was admitting to intentional voter fraud. That clearly is not what’s going on in the interview.
TIP - look at the full interview to see if clips are fair or misleading.
When I read the articles about this clip, I saw it was from an interview on @PodSaveAmerica, a pro-Dem media site. I found the interview - give it a look for the clip in context.

@nytimes and @USATODAY reported that Biden’s campaign said he meant to describe efforts fighting voter suppression.
@washingtonpost included more of the interview, which showed Biden accusing Trump of suppressing votes.
Searching for “We have put together, I think, the most extensive and inclusive voter fraud organization in the history of American politics” brought up a bunch of results, including articles from @washingtonpost, @USATODAY and @nytimes.
This video is misleading, and it’s a good reminder that misinformation is easy to check.
So, how could you have investigated this clip to see whether it really shows @JoeBiden admitting to voter fraud? Just google what he said.
