@mattyglesias@daveweigel Worst thing about living in Europe is the complete lack of quality Mexican/tex-mex. Don't get me wrong, there's great food here but fuck me if I just want a quality taco sometimes.
With this ruling SCOTUS again confirms that we shouldn't rely on the gov't for any kickbacks, instead we should all just find a billionaire friend who can pay for our expenses!
My brain is so marked by the 12 hour clock that I wanted to count up to noon (2 hours) then down from noon (4 hours) in order to find the time difference when clearly I could have quickly calculated that 16 is 6 more than 10.
Okay, so, I know there are much better writers out there than me, but this time last year I had zero publishing credentials to my name.
Today, one year since then, I have three stories in anthologies (a fourth coming soon), several short stories in lit mags, and an agent.
Wtf.
My biggest issue with football is the penalty kick. Simply too consequential in a match for what often times isn't a foul worthy of a near automatic goal. The punishment doesn't fit the crime. #FIFAWorldCup

The one bad thing about Danish Christmas is the wishlist. Not only am I coming up with my own gifts for others (cuz that's the fun of gift giving) but I've gotta think up 5 to 10 things that I want? #afskaffeønskesiddel
The UK is on their 5th Prime Minister in 6 years. They've held one election in that span. Conversely, Israel is on their 5th election in 3 years with no resolution in sight. It seems it's possible to have too much and too little democracy.
This trend in Europe of covering popular 80s and 90s songs as whimpy club pop/dance has got to stop.
I don't need to be Rick rolled by a guy who just got his heart broken.
@roderickgraham Experienced "effort based" A's quite a bit in school in America. Found grading in my Danish graduate school to be much more based on the product I produced. I certainly felt more of a sense of individual achievement getting high grades.
Few things have worried me as much as the GOP response to the raid of Mar-a-Lago. Stoking fears to garner votes is a recipe for disaster. The Republicans won't just win congressional seats, they'll also "win" a nation ready to accept the degradation of law and democracy.
