It is not possible for a clan to claim a nation. There are 6 clans living in northern Somalia. All of them believe in Somali unity, except for the Isaaq clan secessionist clan, which lives only in Hargeisa and Burco. How is one clan claim other clan’s opinion.

FM H.E. @AbdisalamDhaay met H.E. Dr. Thambo Gina, Eswatini’s Minister of Economic Planning and Development, on the sidelines of the Korea–Africa Ministerial Meeting in Seoul. Eswatini reaffirmed its support for Somalia’s sovereignty, unity and territorial integrity.
A clan ambition, NOT a country. According to the longstanding U.S. policy toward Somalia, Washington continues to support Somalia’s sovereignty, unity, and territorial integrity and does not recognize Somaliland as an independent state. After decades of lobbying, publicity campaigns, and repeated predictions of imminent recognition, separatists once again find themselves facing the same reality: no recognition, no change in U.S. policy, and no country. For many observers, it is a reminder that political ambition alone does not create a state, and that international legitimacy cannot be declared into existence.
🚨 Saudi Arabia 🇸🇦 is reportedly close to finalising a new military alliance with Somalia 🇸🇴 and Egypt 🇪🇬, aimed at countering the UAE’s 🇦🇪 regional influence.
Somali President HSM is expected to visit Riyadh 🇸🇦 soon to conclude the agreement.

For the FIRST TIME, President H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud is heading to Las Anod, capital of the North-Eastern State of Somalia 🇸🇴
This is a political earthquake.
A clear message: Las Anod is Somalia. Sovereignty is non-negotiable.
From Mogadishu to Las Anod, one nation, one future.
🔥 This moment will be remembered.
Protesters in Somalia’s Awdal region rallied against Israel’s recognition of Somaliland.
They waved Palestinian flags, rejected normalisation and condemned any political or diplomatic ties with Tel Aviv
In Borama, Awdal State, near the Bab al-Mandab choke point, members of the Samaroon tribe mobilized in large numbers.
They raised Palestinian flags 🇵🇸, rejecting Israel and opposing the creation of a one-clan secessionist enclave.
I guess you know that Somaliland is internally divided. The government in Hargeysa controls only some 65-70 per cent of the land. In the far west, people belonging to the Gadabursi and Ise clans have their doubts about Somaliland. Occasionally, there is unrest and people hoist the Somali flag there (e.g. in Boroma). In the east, which covers roughly 30 per cent of the state territory (see map below), members of the Dhulbahante and Warsangeli clans openly resist the government of Somaliland. In 2023, the Somaliland army, deployed to subjugate the locals, was defeated there by local clan militias. People in the east see themselves as part of Somalia. Recognition of Somaliland - which effectively is supported mainly by the members of one clan family called Isaaq - will likely produce conflict, possibly even civil war, between Isaaq and non-Isaaq in northern Somalia. These details should be known in the USA...
Thousands of Somalis took to the streets on Sunday night in Mogadishu, their country's capital, in protest against Israel's recognition of Somalia's breakaway region of Somaliland as an independent state.
Waving Somali flags, the protesters strongly condemned Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and voiced solidarity with the Federal Republic of Somalia.
This comes as numerous countries and international blocs continue to show support for Somalia's sovereignty and territorial integrity, while denouncing Tel Aviv's decision
I share with the United Nations, the European Union, and the United States the ongoing massacre in Awdal Region by the Isaac family militias calling themselves Somaliland. Yesterday we learned about the events that took place in the SSC 2023 regions by the Isaac family militias calling themselves Somaliland. Today, the SSC regions have become the Northeastern Regional State of Somalia, a member state of the federal government of Somalia, after a brutal massacre by the RRU forces trained by the British government.
Therefore, today, the Isaac family administration led by @Abdirahmanirro has begun a massacre and destruction of property in Borame, the capital of Awdal region. The people of Awdal and Selel are being massacred so that they cannot achieve their desire for their region to be part of a regional administration under the federal government of Somalia. The people being killed are being used as weapons and ammunition in regions that reject the idea of secession. The money that is being spent on killing people from Awdal is donations given to the Isaac family who call themselves Somaliland and they use the donations to buy weapons and ammunition to oppress the people of northern Somalia. Please save the people of Awdal before a humanitarian disaster occurs.
