@D3f3n3str4t10n @YourHostKaz Asgores fatal flaw also doesnt feel like an attempt to return to a better time, its his obsession with cleansing his guilt over The Incident, which was what caused his estrangement from his family in the first place. I can concur with the others though.

@crowdeacon Ch 4 he finally accepts his own desires, and comes to desire the prophecy to play out differently, where in Ch 5 he works up to actually wanting to do something about it with his dynamic with Flowery.

@crowdeacon In chapter 2, during the boat ride with Ralsei, we see the seeds of him starting to come into his own. Each chapter has him in a different phase. Ch1 has him completely shackled to the prophecy, ch2 he starts to understand he has desires, ch3 he tries to tamp them down

@YourHostKaz @D3f3n3str4t10n It just feels like this idea of how susie is acting is bad, isn't supported by the text. The fanbase sees it as bad but I haven't seen any citations for where the game itself concurs.

@ChiefOfBcrk @yandhiisntreal Unless I'm forgetting something, there was never any callback to happy memories with Asgore. He was entirely focused on The Incident, and Flowery was focused on making an "ideal world" which didn't actually include anything that would be nostalgic.

@ChiefOfBcrk @yandhiisntreal Nostalgia doesn't really seem anywhere in the chapter. The flowers being the 7 humans, mad mew mew, sans references, the use of tracks from undertale. It feels more like reference for the sake of reference.
