@SomethingNewGuy The route has been running all along with a 40min frequency & crowded till Mulund Checknaka. You would get a seat only after MHADA bound 484 crosses MP Chowk. Original one used to take Service Road outside Jupiter Hospital.

So how does one reach from Mulund to BKC? Based and timed on my journey. #mumbaicommute

OPTION 1: Take the suburban slow train to Kurla, walk among hawkers and messy roads at Kurla west and bargain with illegal share auto drivers or wait for 310 buses for one hour in a queue which becomes unruly once the bus appears. AC buses don't ply here. There are a restricted number of buses till Kurla station due to the bus height issues, earlier highlighted by me in a mid-day article here. (https://t.co/i29dbg8nnr)
The option I take is walking up from Kurla station to BKC or at least till MTNL junction.
Cost: Rs 25. (Rs 5 for suburban train, Rs 5 for bus and/or Rs 20 for autos.)
Time: 50 minutes in auto. 75 min walk.

OPTION 2: Take the suburban slow train to Dadar/Parel. Cross over the bridge to Western Railway and take another local train to Bandra station. Bargain with illegal share auto drivers, struggle in traffic till Bandra court to reach BKC.
The option I take is walking up from Bandra east station to Kalanagar.
Cost: Rs 40. Local train tickets at Rs 5 each + auto fare.
Time: 65 minutes 

OPTION 3: Take the BEST bus, all routes pass LBS Marg. Buses have irregular frequency. Is time consuming in traffic.
Cost: Rs 15
Time: 75 minutes.

OPTION 4: Take @chaloapp or @Cityflo_India buses from MHADA signal along eastern express highway in the east. But only limited morning services.
Seat in AC bus assured. It is comfortable but buses keep circling the BKC corridors and stops.
Cost: Rs 229 for CityFlo, Rs 125 for Chalo.
Time: 60 minutes plus depending on traffic.

OPTION 5: Take the suburban slow train to Ghatkopar, take the Blue Line @MumbaiMetro01 to Marol naka and then the @
Aqua Line @MumbaiMetro3 to BKC Income Tax junction.
Cost: Rs 65 (Local train Rs 5, Metro Line 1 Rs 20, Aqua Line 3 Rs 40)
Time: 35 minutes.
