@RealJamesWoods I just read issue 93 where you state you’ll be leaving LA. There are other ways to live on and enjoy the Pacific Coast… Come help us get Oregon back from the left! I believe we can do it and your voice would go a long way to helping. Look at Lincoln County, OR.
@ChristineDrazan Republicans need to walk out of the session and stay out! Do what you were hired by your constituents to do, with whatever means you have. Defeat the democrats agenda.
@KATUNews Oregon is largely a red state, going back to in person elections, requiring voter ID, and most of all, disallowing late votes (the source of much corruption), will prove that once again.
They must be speaking for the people. We saw that the DMV is indiscriminately sending out voter registration forms. Oregon refuses to clean up its voter roles. It’s time for in person voting and I would love for President Trump to demand only in person voting, with exclusions for out of town or physical challenges.
@robbystarbuck@goodwill Shop and donate to LOCALLY operated thrift stores, most communities have them and many maintain the spirit of “thrift” and support the needs of the community. Goodwill has done anything but that for years, we stopped donating and visiting them decades ago.
A Tesla Store was shot up in my hometown of Salem, Oregon. This is most likely sending a message to Elon Musk and his involvement in working with President Trump.
I’ll wait for the Oregon democrats to condemn the attacks both here and in Portland.
But keep telling us “MAGA” is a threat to democracy. cr:@MrAndyNgo
Everyone knows that Oregon government spending is out of control. So why does it continue to go up and up while the public demands accountability?
It's part of the Democrat Machine in Oregon. It's called the "Political Funding Loop." There are two massive ones in Oregon.
Loop #1 - Public Sector Unions.
Public funds pay government workers → Workers pay union dues → Unions spend money supporting political candidates → Elected officials negotiate with unions on contracts and benefits, raising public spending.
Loop #2 - NGOs
Non-Governmental Entities get publicly funded grants → NGOs endorse and support political candidates → NGOs lobby to increase the grants → Elected officials increase the grant programs, raising public spending.
I don't think people outside of Oregon politics have any idea how incestuous this is. I sure didn't - until I got in the building.
Some of the groups receiving funding do good work and stay out of the politics - they don't participate in the loop. Others, not so much.
We will never get an accountable government until the people break these public funding loops. But as long as our Governor and the majority of legislators benefit from these loops, nothing will change.
Oregon, let's take our state back.
Oregon's Education report card is horrible and yet the school districts have time and money to fight ICE.
A teacher sent me this note:
"Bethel School District has told all employees that we are to resist ICE if they come, that the students come first. They also plan to keep DEI, and on Trumps inauguration week, they put the tampon/pad containers in all bathrooms…. Which some boys promptly stuffed in the toilet"
Today, the greatest president of my lifetime banned men from women's sports!
And I want to be very clear when I say this because the Democrats struggle; this is exactly what I voted for.
I just watched the US President sign a bill with about 100 kids standing around him, and you know what? Not a single kid got smelled up! No more Creepy Joe!
