Today I visited the Bhutni islet in Malda district's Manikchak, a large part of which got inundated recently due to flooding.
The Bhutni islet, situated between the mighty Ganges and Fulahar rivers, is vulnerable to flooding. The recent flood affected around 1.5 lakh people in Bhutni. The recent floods destroyed homes & livelihoods, especially affecting farmers who lost their crops.
The State Govt did nothing to maintain and repair the river embankment in due time and when the water level rose, a major disaster happened. If the WB Govt had timely repaired the embankments, this disaster could have been averted.
The relief efforts of the State Govt were also inadequate, laced with allegations of theft and mismanagement.
I met the family members of the deceased who lost their lives during the floods and assured them of any possible help that they require. Later on I distributed relief materials to 4000 people on behalf of @BJP4Bengal.
Lastly, I went to observe the riverbank where land erosion has become a pertinent problem.
Today, I marched alongside thousands of Sanatanis of Shyampur, from the Shyampur Bazar Byabsayi Samiti Puja Pandal which was vandalised on 13th October, 2024 to the Shyampur Police Station where I had a meeting with the Additional SP of the Howrah Rural Police District.
Though I am not satisfied with the response of the Police, who failed to protect Maa Durga Idol from being vandalised and allowed the Law & Order Situation to get out of hand, however I requested Additional SP to maintain strict vigil and deploy adequate forces for at least one month from now on till the upcoming religious occasions are over.
Later on I proceeded to Mahishadal in the Tamluk Organizational District where I exchanged Bijoya greetings with more than 6 thousand @BJP4Bengal Karyakartas. This year during the Durga Puja, the delightful news of Haryana Assembly Election Results brought joy to all of us.
We renewed our resolve to fight this Anti Sanatani State Govt with greater resolve so that in near future we can establish a Govt in the State which will govern for everyone's benefit rather than appeasing a section of the society.
The Bankrupt West Bengal Government reeling under the mountainous Debt of Rs. 7 lakh Crores have decided to cut down the salaries of the Transport Workers.
The Transport Department, Govt of WB, is unable to manage the operations efficiently, and is continuously pushing the State Transport Undertakings (STUs) like the WBTC, CSTC, WBSTC, NBSTC and SBSTC to the financial red zone.
The Department just can't evolve itself and enhance operating efficiency. Unfortunately they have slashed 10% Salary Subsidy of the STUs. The Transport Workers associated with the Department for decades will have to bear the brunt.
Who knows this time it's 10% less, in the coming days they could be laid off.
I attended a Protest Rally at Basudevpur; Howrah, organized by the @BJP4Bengal Howrah Rural Organizational District to protest against the constant attack on Durga Puja Pandals, right from Sitalkuchi, Garden Reach, Bauria, Shyampur and many other places across the State of West Bengal.
The apathy of the Police & Administration towards such incidents fuels the miscreants' desire to further attempt such heinous acts.
This is West Bengal, the only Homeland of the Bengali Hindus. Its our vow to fight this attack on our culture and religion.
Warm Birthday Greetings to Honâble Union Home Minister; Shri @AmitShah Ji.
May you continue to serve the Nation with the same passion. Your remarkable efforts to make our country stronger is evident.
I pray to Maa Durga for your good health and a long life. Kindly accept my regards on this occasion.

Illegal Gas Trade by TMC anti socials at Khanaberia near Pragati Maidan; Ward No. 58; KMC, Entally Assembly Constituency.
@CPKolkata kindly look into it before any accident happens resulting in loss of lives. Moreover, how can such illegal operations can be conducted in Kolkata, right under the nose of @KolkataPolice? Is it because they are assured that Police won't lift a finger against them or Police has some connection with their vested interests?

I wonder what's next !!!
I am literally stunned to learn that Retired IPS Officer; Shri Pankaj Dutta is critically ill. Shri Pankaj Dutta, who retired as the Inspector General of West Bengal Police in 2011, is still unconscious and is receiving treatment at a Hospital in Varanasi; Uttar Pradesh.
I won't be off the mark to state that the sole person responsible for his sudden illness is none other than WB Home Minister Smt. Mamata Banerjee.
Shri Pankaj Dutta; a vocal critic of Mamata Banerjee Govt, especially known for detecting loopholes in various Police Investigations and criticizing Police atrocities and overreach, has been at the receiving end of @KolkataPolice for quite some time now.
@CPKolkata Shri Manoj Kumar Verma (IPS), following the instructions of Mamata Banerjee, made sure that Shri Pankaj Dutta is harassed as much as possible. Recently, after the RG Kar incident, Shri Pankaj Dutta condemned the approach of Kolkata Police. After that, he was summoned by the Burtolla Police Station. He was kept waiting for the whole day and wasn't even offered a cup of tea.
Mamata Police is liable for his health condition. They ensured that his stress levels peak.
Constructive criticism of the State is a democratic and essential right of any citizen. It is unfortunate that people like Mamata Banerjee aren't able to digest it.
