If you are trying to make a change in your life, I think it is so important to think about intentions.
What is the problem?
Why are you doing something?
How do you plan to make the change?
How can you avoid falling off the change?
These are just some things you can consider, but it really helps with framing yourself, and assuring the change is for the best.
I'm such a proponent for the thought that if you want to get something done, or see results, you have to put in the reps.
The reps don't have the be the highest quality ever seen, but they do have to be consistent.
Anytime in my life I have struggled with results, it is usually down to this (within reason).
Our database automations are now flexible and smarter 🧠
Out now → Specify more than one trigger, so automations only fire when multiple conditions are met.
Competition can be very helpful, but often comparing yourself to others is pointless.
Compare yourself to you, try to improve on yourself from yesterday.
Then you see results.
An underrated tip for getting things done is prioritising deep work.
Make the first thing you do in the morning the most important and the most valuable.
Block out 60 minutes, sit down, and start.
It will take the pressure off the rest of the day, and get you a win with progression.
I feel like I have gone back and forth on consistency recently with side projects.
My posting has been erratic..
But after some intentional time away, and reflection, I am coming back more invigorated.
A key part of this was reading some work from Cal Newport (Deep Work and Slow Productivity), which has re-emphasised some key principles in my life.
Would anyone like some take aways and learnings from these books?
