🚨 CONFIRMED: Footage reviewed and geolocated by Bellingcat confirms US tomahawk missiles hit the girls’ primary school in southern Iran that killed 180 people, most of them children.
Researcher Trevor Ball notes Israel does not possess Tomahawk missiles. United States does.
I wrote about how the US and Israel carried out an attack on an Iranian girls school on par with the OKC bombing and US media relegated it to a back page story. No evening news segments, no front page stories, it made A11 in the NYT then everyone moved on. https://t.co/a2XNK8DPQl
Bombing Iran in the middle of negotiations, while starving Cuba, while genociding Palestinians, while threatening to invade Greenland… the US and Israel are the single greatest threat to humanity and it’s not even close. We are all forced to live in the nightmare they create.
US immigration officials picked up a blind Rohingya refugee last week in Buffalo, NY. Then, realizing they had no basis to deport him, they released him five miles from his home. He needed a walking stick and died trying to make his way back to his house: https://t.co/dNBRWAiv0b
This is Hossam’s team, and we are sharing his final message :
“If you’re reading this, it means I have been killed—most likely targeted—by the Israeli occupation forces. When this all began, I was only 21 years old—a college student with dreams like anyone else. For past 18 months, I have dedicated every moment of my life to my people. I documented the horrors in northern Gaza minute by minute, determined to show the world the truth they tried to bury. I slept on pavements, in schools, in tents—anywhere I could. Each day was a battle for survival. I endured hunger for months, yet I never left my people’s side.
By God, I fulfilled my duty as a journalist. I risked everything to report the truth, and now, I am finally at rest—something I haven’t known in the past 18 months . I did all this because I believe in the Palestinian cause. I believe this land is ours, and it has been the highest honor of my life to die defending it and serving its people.
I ask you now: do not stop speaking about Gaza. Do not let the world look away. Keep fighting, keep telling our stories—until Palestine is free.”
— For the last time, Hossam Shabat, from northern Gaza.
"Quadcopters were emitting baby sounds, playing sounds of screaming women."
Palestinians in Gaza say Israel has been using small quadcopter drones, equipped with loudspeakers, to lure them out of their homes and then shoot them. #GazaCrimes
More than 41,800 people have been killed in a year of Israel’s genocide against Palestinians in Gaza.
The health ministry in Gaza has confirmed the identities of more than 34,000 of them. Here are their names.
The U.S.—in multiple ways—has enabled Israel to promote a doctrine that Israel is allowed to kill as many civilians (with U.S. weapons) as it wishes with impunity in the name of “self defense” or killing the “terrorists.”
Haitians in Springfield, Ohio, are keeping their children home and reporting damage to their property as anti-immigrant conspiracy theories spread, fanned by statements by Trump and Vance https://t.co/aYaEK06uhb
“After this genocide is over, I will pursue my life dreams, no matter how long it takes—even if it takes 50 years. I aim to achieve so much that everyone will remember my name.”
Rest in peace Medo. I will remember your name.
I can’t believe this dude has a cult of poor working class people staunchly supporting him. He has never cared about working class people. Ever. Zero of his policies during his 4 year term benefited working class people
The father of Hind Rajab, the 6-year old Palestinian girl who was killed by Israeli forces in a car in Gaza in January, was recently killed, according to journalist Ashraf Mashharawi who spoke recently to Hind’s mom.
Hind’s story was told in the recent Al Jazeera English documentary The Night Won’t End. Three of Hind’s cousins, her aunt and uncle were also killed in the January attack. Two Palestinian paramedics who tried to rescue her were also killed when they arrived at the scene to rescue her despite their route being coordinated with Israeli officials.
Mashharawi told me Hind’s mother received a text message that her husband had been killed in an Israeli attack. The family was separated as a result of the Israeli siege and had been unable to communicate for days.
Israel is committing some of the worst atrocities of our age, live-streamed on a daily basis.
The politicians and media outlets who facilitated this obscenity must be held to account.
Israel does this because it believes it will be allowed to. It is correct.
