I am amazed, but not surprised, by the shamelessness of Noida channels.
For more than a decade they have turned TV studios into factories of lynch mobs- peddling ‘thook jihad’, ‘choodi jihad’, ‘land jihad’ and every other manufactured bogey to target ordinary citizens. Farmers were branded Khalistanis, anti CAA protestors Pakistanis, opposition supporters anti-national, independent journalists the ‘tukde tukde gang’. Anyone demanding accountability from the government was vilified, hounded and intimidated.
Instead of introspection, accountability or course correction, they are outraged that people aren’t welcoming them with flower petals while they continue to demonise and dehumanise the very citizens they are covering.
Any form of physical violence is unacceptable. But long before fists were raised on the streets violence was normalised in Noida’s TV studios- through hate, propaganda and the systematic dehumanisation of fellow citizen

आज कई लोग मीडिया के सामने लगभग एक जैसी भाषा में "प्रधानमंत्री आवास की गरिमा" का पाठ पढ़ते दिखाई दे रहे हैं। एक सहज सा प्रश्न उठता है—क्या इससे पहले के प्रधानमंत्रियों के आवास की कोई गरिमा नहीं थी? या तब गरिमा का अर्थ लोकतांत्रिक मर्यादा, संवैधानिक शिष्टाचार और सार्वजनिक उत्तरदायित्व था, जबकि अब उसे किसी एक व्यक्ति की प्रतिष्ठा का पर्याय बना दिया गया है?
लोकतंत्र में संस्थाएँ सम्मानित होती हैं, व्यक्तियों का महिमामंडन लोकतंत्न का स्वभाव नहीं होता। यदि प्रधानमंत्री आवास को राजमहल और उसकी आलोचना को राजद्रोह की तरह प्रस्तुत किया जाने लगे, तो यह केवल भाषा का परिवर्तन नहीं, बल्कि लोकतंत्र के राजशाही में रूपांतरण की उद्घोषणा है।

हमारा युवा साथी रवीश रंजन वही, NDTV का लाल माइक वही, पर मैनेजमेंट बदल गया तो ब्रैंड बदल गया और फिर इसके प्रति लोगों का नज़रिया बदल गया… लेकिन मैं जानता हूँ कि @ravishranjanshu नहीं बदला है। संस्थान के नए माहौल में भी अपनी पत्रकारिता धर्म को निभा रहा है। जंतर मंतर के माहौल को आँकने और यहां पर ‘पत्रकार’ भेजे जाने की ज़रूरत को भाँप लेने के बाद ही रवीश को यहाँ कवरेज की ड्यूटी दी गई होगी। ऐसा मुझे लगता है। लेकिन भीड़ संस्थान का ‘नया ब्रैंड’ देख रही है, उसी संस्थान के पुराने चेहरे और उसके काम को पहचानने से इंकार कर रही है। ये ग़लत है। जबकि इसमें रवीश की ग़लती नहीं है। ग़लती उस ऊपर वाले की जो इस सृष्टि को चला रहा है।

लल्लनटॉप के पत्रकार अभिलाष ने सवाल किया तो केवल सवाल पूछने की वजह से ही रिपोर्टर को लाठी मार दी गई.

इसके बाद पुलिस ने भी लाठी मारने वाले का बचाव किया और बदतमीज़ी करते हुए माइक जमीन पर फेंक दिया.

Fact : He is NOT Prakash Meena, But some other Police personal. Prakash Meena was present on the protest side but was wearing plain clothes. Not Police uniform.
Don't spread misinformation. Police will file FIRs for sharing such unverified claims..
