All of our children are precious. Our LGBTQ students deserve an educational system that will treat them with dignity and respect. Our hardworking teachers deserve the same.
This is a gentle reminder that coming in contact with marginalized people doesn't innoculate you against bias or bigotry.
Having Black friends doesn't mean you can't be racist.
Having gay friends doesn't mean you can't be homophobic.
We ALL have to work at it.
