Happy to announce that my first paper as first author is now published in @JnlParasitology and also selected as the "Paper of the Month". Check it out to know more about how the translation machinery of Plasmodium falciparum handle multiple upstream ORFs! https://t.co/EcfoMAwtf2
Using RNA seq data from >200 samples + single-cell & spatial approaches, we show that remodeling of tumor cells & functional interactions within the microenvironment are a hallmark or
meningioma brain invasion. Huge thanks to @LabRaleigh and the co-authors for making it possible!
Ever wondered what happens at the molecular & cellular level when meningiomas invade the adjacent brain?Gene expression changes? More proliferation? Microenvironment interactions?
Excited to share my first publication as a postdoc!!

Great catching up with @SujataWalunj and @Soniackb in San Francisco who are doing super well in their postdoctoral research. Lovely to see @BsbeIitb alumni moving ahead in their careers.

Congrats to Daniel Navarrete @dani_jnp for receiving the Hematology Inclusion Pathway (HIP) Abstract Achievement Award!
Check out his poster #2456 tomorrow night

🗨️ WANNA TALK TO YOUR CELLS? Try out CellWhisperer – our new multimodal AI that turns single-cell RNA-seq analysis into a conversation. No coding needed, just chat in plain English. Short walkthrough below. Web app & bioRxiv preprint linked in the thread. Let's dive in! (1/9)
Elated to finally share my PhD work 🤩 uncovering the shades of grey in the black & white lives of melanocytes. Huge thanks to everyone involved @PigmentCellBio

We show that specified melanocytes exhibit different cell states within their population that potentially aid their response to external cues such as UV. Hop onto this thread for a deep dive.

The Molecular Parasitology lab is looking to bring new PhD students on board in the coming academic year. The announcement will be made in a few months by the BSBE dept, for the central admission process that happens in May. Interested students, please keep an eye out for this!
Let's move on... my lab is AGAIN looking for postdocs! Cell culture experience required; we will teach you how to culture parasites. Routine molecular and cell biology techniques also required. Most essential: a desire to be in our fun team and have a productive tenure in the lab
I was so thrilled to meet @NarayanRangaraj today.
Thanks for stopping by at the Stanford campus on your way to Berkeley! Have a great rest of the US trip 🇺🇲
Excited to present at #MPM2023 again! See my virtual poster #365 today if you are curious to know what happened to these Toxoplasma parasites (bottom panel).
