@ChrisKeen143@HRNikoofar (2/x) PVE changes that some and it’s something the team and I are discussing as a part of our update plans. We want to preserve the mysterious, cosmic horror vibes you hear in the solo run experience, while finding opportunities for surprises. Maybe a (REDACTED) in the future? 🤘🏻

@ChrisKeen143@HRNikoofar (1/x) Wonderful question! Longish answer. First: Marathon (2026) wasn’t intended to have music at all when I was hired. There were valid concerns about preserving critical audio feedback, like footsteps, and the theory was that music would get in the way.

@EliasToufexis@hippojuicefilm Elfman has always been one of my favorite composers, probably starting back on Beetlejuice. Also, Batman Returns is an amazing score! Go listen to the Elfman eps of “The Soundtrack Show.” The Nightmare ones are an annual listen for me.
@HRNikoofar That's very kind of you. Ryan's an incredible talent and bold creative, so all I had to do was point him in a general direction and get out of his way. Thrilled to have him as a part of our sound team. His score fed sound design and vice versa.🤘
@CoolRunnerCraig@asalisbury It just won a 2026 VEGA Digital award. ❤️ It was such a fun piece to work on and am still pinching myself that we effectively made "Thriller in Space". 🤘
@eternalcrim Welcome. By now, I'm sure you know all the sounds in the game, understand their meaning, and use that to gain tactical advantage. Gooooood. 🤘
