I just listened to Brian Armstrong on SRS. He described a hack where coinbase support agents were paid to give customer information to hackers. Brian described it in great detail. This is exactly what happened to me several months ago. I contacted Coinbase immediately after I realized what happend, (a couple days at most), described to them what happened to me and was told there was nothing Coinbase could do.
Brian just told Shawn Ryan that any Coinbase customers who suffered this attack were made whole. I lost 450k in the scam and Coinbase has not made me whole. In fact, as I said, I contacted CB immediately at the time and was told there was nothing CB could do. Brian, will CB make us whole? I'm sure there are agent notes in my account that will verify this did happen to me.
In truth, this is very embarrassing for me to even admit because I'm pretty tech savy. Spent decades in the IT industry and have been accumulating BTC for years. The scam was so sophisticated and convincing that they actually convinced me my account had been compromised. If they could convince me, I can't imagine how many other victims there were.
I think about this every single day. It's really taken a toll. My hands are shaking even as I write this.
@Tesla I get a sense this is more of a vanity project than practical. Showcase cutting edge technology and the bleeding edge Tesla is capable of achieving. Not for the masses.
F'n chicken shit aholes who should never be allowed to carry weapons. WTF did they think that animal was going to do? It's obvious the animal was just curious. LEO's shoot pets regularly and rarely, if ever, face consequences. If this incident caused you to fear for your life, you need a new profession.
@MLP_officiel I'm sure your sentiments are a great comfort to her...😞 Maybe put a little more effort in resolving the root cause? This is a problem of your own making.
