How great would it be for the visually impaired to access a wealth of reading materials?
This article has some studies linked and offers views from protesters and the navy, too. This #penguin colony is also a major attraction. #sustainabletravel
How can I, a responsible travel addict, travel the world in a way that is #sustainable and still joyful – is it even possible?
My goal is to find answers to these questions and create sustainability tools for travel addicts. Follow (and contribute if you have ideas!).
• How is travel – local and global, leisure and business – currently affecting our #environment, our ecosystems and social systems?
• What is the travel industry doing to play its part in achieving #NetZero emissions and reduce other negative impacts?
Imagine if you could still be a #traveladdict — even in the time of #ClimateCrisis?
If you had a sustainable travel toolkit, you could. I'd like to create one.
It all starts with having the right information. And for that, you have to ask questions. I'm starting with:

China's appetites, a voracious juggernaut that's destroying Africa's wilderness year by year. How do poor countries stand up to those who are rich, greedy and unscrupulous?
This picture of deforestation in #Mozambique has been verified. It's truly shocking. A large part of this is due to large Chinese companies which ship wood back to China. 100-year-old trees being cut down. What kind of country will future generations inherit?
So agree with @GeorgeMonbiot You don't only see this with BBC, but even bodies meant to be fighting for the environment. What stops people being openly anti-plastic? Sponsorship and advertising. Read this thread.
I’ve now caught up with the latest #BluePlanetLive programmes, and they dismay me. Yes the BBC is talking about environmental issues. But there are two flaws so massive that they make these programmes worse than useless.
