@tarabateman21 This happened to me 86000 words into a first draft. I went back and started from the beginning. But only after a couple of weeks of thinking and researching and delving into my characters heads more deeply. Don’t be afraid to take a break and let the new ideas marinate for awhile

@louisejallan I feel you. I do find that getting started on something else, whether writing a first draft or nutting out ideas or doing research allows me to have fresher eyes when I go back to the original project.
