as I’m another year older, I’ve realized I want to be more + more like my younger self. not in the sense of being naive or inexperienced, but I want to be more + more curious, free, goofy, imaginative, jovial, etc. I want to write novels again, I want to get lost in books again, I want to review movies for fun, I want to laugh even more.

as adults, we’re often told that maturity means becoming more serious, more practical, and more realistic but I don’t agree. real growth is knowing when to be an adult while refusing to lose the parts of yourself that made life feel exciting.
