Over the weekend, Obama claimed he could "never imagine" shutting out a network like Fox News. Really? Because I don't have to imagine it… I HAVE THE TAPE!

⛽️ A GASOLINE STORY:

WIFE: "Four dollars and fifteen cents a gallon! I nearly fell over at the pump. Thanks a lot, Trump. And that whole mess with Iran."

HUSBAND: "Whoa, whoa. Not so fast, hon."

WIFE: "Not so fast? Gas is through the roof!"

HUSBAND: "Here's the crazy part. Oil is actually about forty bucks a barrel CHEAPER than it was under Biden. The barrel isn't the problem."

WIFE: "Then why am I paying four fifteen?!"

HUSBAND: "Refining. Turning the oil into gasoline. That's the bottleneck. And get this - we haven't built a major new refinery in this country since 1977."

WIFE: "Nineteen seventy-SEVEN? I was in high school!"

HUSBAND: "Not one. And we keep shutting down the ones we've got. California alone is closing about eighteen percent of its refineries!"

WIFE: "Who shuts down a refinery when gas costs this much?!"

HUSBAND: "The Democrats. They spent fifty years regulating them to death - permits, lawsuits, fees, and a promise to ban gas cars. Who's going to spend a billion dollars building something Washington swears it's going to outlaw?"

WIFE: "So it was never really about Iran."

HUSBAND: "Iran nudges the barrel a little. But the real story? We've got more oil than any country on Earth and we STILL import six million barrels a day, because we can't refine our own."

WIFE: "That is absolutely insane."

HUSBAND: "Here's the good news. Trump just broke ground on the first new refinery in almost fifty years, down in Texas."

WIFE: "So I've been blaming Trump and HE is the only one actually fixing it?"

HUSBAND: "Now you're getting it."

WIFE: "Wow, I had no idea..."

Silver Hype Train card - Michael Dufort

I've watched a fuckload of MMA over the years so it's rare I see something I've never seen before, but Michael Dufort managed to show me something new in his win over Antoine Chaput.

He had Chaput in a side triangle, which I thought was cool, but then as Chaput tried to defend it he started to move around him and attack the arm, moving himself into a position where he could jam Chaput's arm up towards his head in what can only be described as extreme school bully style.

Chaput tried his best to defend it, but once it became clear that there was no way he was getting the arm back he had to tap (probably tapped a little late).

That was the 4th defence of his Samourai title and his 5th finish in a row.

Dufort has fought at a high level before, going 1-2 in PFL where he beat Mads Burnell, lost a close decision to Adam Piccolotti and was beaten by the 2024 champ Gadzhi Rabadanov.

I don't think that run really showed everything he can offer for a high level promotion though, he's an entertaining offensive grappler and they threw grapplers at him, two of which were the type the UFC never signs who shut that game down in pretty dull fashion.

I think he's worked at his grappling since then to make it even more creative and offensive and he's dangerous on his back if he does get taken down.

He's also a fun guy on the feet where he's aggressive and comes forward with hard leg kicks and is willing to take a shot while he gets into his grappling.

Is he ever going to be title contender in the UFC? I don't think so, but is he someone that you can throw on cards with middle of the pack lightweights that's going to give you entertaining fights the crowd are going to love and perhaps pick up some bonuses along the way? Absolutely.

With how shitty this Edmonton card is looking at the moment. Dufort is the perfect guy to sign and throw on there to give the crowd a scrap to get them fired up early in the prelims and then we can see where he goes from there.

Give the dude a chance, he's earned it.

Trump renamed Lake Ontario to Lake America.
And suddenly the same people who spent years renaming streets, schools, holidays, and tearing down statues are furious.

That’s the whole point.
This isn’t really about a lake.
It’s about who is allowed to rename things — and who isn’t.
Renaming has been happening for years. Statues came down. Names changed overnight. Language got rewritten. And a lot of people were told to just accept it.
Now a lake name changes… and it’s treated like the end of the world.
That’s not principle.
That’s selective outrage.
A name on a map is not the crisis.
The double standard is.
