Led to believe there will be a major development in the future of Haissem Hassan within the next 24 hours.

The player returns to the clubs training ground El Requexón today, and is set with crunch talks with club management. Celtic continue to be front runners despite bids from Lens and an unnamed club in Saudi.

Real Oviedo are hoping the competition will lead to the trigger of Hassans €12m release clause, although are receptive of the players wishes and a fee of X + potential bonuses to reach €12m on performance will get this over the line.

Celtic very close to finalising an agreement with Real Oviedo for the transfer of Haissem Hassan. Expected fee of €7.5m which could rise to €9m with bonuses.

Late interest from several other clubs provided additional leverage to Real Oviedo who were ready to accept an earlier offer.

Despite the amount of conflicting reports - situation has not changed, Baur has committed to Celtic from day 1, as reported by all A tier sources.

It is either Celtic pay the asking price or they don’t. Celtic are still unwilling to do so and Paderborn are unwilling to drop.

Paderborn are in a strong position financially and due to the structure of initial negotiations do not want to be perceived as being bullied into a deal.

Baur is not the type of character to down tools despite frustration in lack of deal progression.

Paderborn Sporting Director Sebastian Lange along with the club president continue to grow frustrated at the lack of flexibility during negotiations.

Paderborn fully believe in Baur and his ability to perform in the Bundesliga, and with interest from other German clubs - the feeling is a similar fee can be received in January despite only 6 months remaining on his contract.

Although strong interest on the player side, Baur is not the character to create problems or push for a move out of respect.

It would take a significant swing in Celtic’s approach to get this one over the line.

Latest update on #Celtic pursuit of Mika Baur from a colleague based in Paderborn.

Frustrating few days for both parties. Despite being at a very advanced stage, clubs still have some gap in valuation of the player.

Paderborn are aware of an imminent cash injection for the Glasgow side with the likely sale of Engels and want to secure the highest fee possible for their main man.

As previously reported, personal terms are not an issue, with Baur fully bought in to the Glasgow side and excited of the prospect of playing in the champions league.

Rangers continue to monitor the situation of Vaclav Cerny at Besiktas.

Besiktas are in advanced stages of the blockbuster signings of both Mohammed Salah and Darwin Nunez. It is believed that if the Turkish giants land either of the two in the incoming days, this will clear the path for the Czech man to return to Ibrox.

Hassan struggled with his end product last year in the La Liga, however, his ability in 1 v 1 duels both defensively and offensively remained consistent throughout the campaign with the winger ranking within the top 10 La Liga offensive players in this area.
