Morning so my illness story is out! Now you know why I have been quiet on social media. The last 3 weeks have been tough especially not knowing what was wrong with me and a Viral infection can mean loads of things between Dave in the office and me we'll keep you informed. At the moment I am told I cannot go to work so for the jobs last week and this weekend please accept my apology however the office is telling me most bookers want to transfer the booked dates. The office tells me already this morning hundreds of messages from well wishers so thank you. Cant wait to get back to work.

@TheFrankSkinner @Divine_Miss_Em @pierrenovellie This is true. Matthew was almost sued when two Sooty Shows were performed in the same town. Afterwards, an agreement was reached in which Harry performed the coastal shows for holiday camps and Matthew did the main big venues. (I'm an admin on the @SootyWikia btw)

Someone just sent me this. Sadly, it seems Jan Needle has died, aged 80. He wrote the Jack and the Pack episode "Thomas and the Moles". He also provided scripts for Sooty, Brookside, Grange Hill, The Bill as well as writing novels.

To be fair, throughout the show, you can probably count on one hand the amount of times Richard controls Sooty - so he clearly knows it's not his strength. It's just these occasional videos make me cringe so much 😣

Richard is a gifted presenter and I'm so glad Sooty is in his hands. But Sooty should never be "on" his hands because he is probably the worst puppeteer I've ever seen. Just goes to prove it's not as easy as it looks.
