We don’t perform vasectomies on young men or tubal ligation on young women, even if they insist they never want kids.
Because it is unethical to destroy the fertility of a healthy body, when we know people often change their mind about this.
Gender medications rob young people of that choice.
Thank you Ian.
We really want to see many more doctors calling out this appalling medical scandal. This is going to cost the NHS, therefore the taxpayer, a LOT of money for years, trying to support young people whose lives have been wrecked.
It’s not just WellBN and Dr Sam Hall. There’s many other activist doctors doing this too.
Sociopathy and hubris go hand in hand for too many in the medical profession; the vast social contagion of sex denialism and the appalling harms inflicted on children and vulnerable adults because of it, are still valorised throughout our NHS, by the BMA and in private clinics. The minority of courageous medics speaking out such as @biologyinmed deserve every ounce of support we can give them.
Our co-founder, Dr Alice Hodkinson, speaks on GB News about how activist clinicians have been enabled by the GMC and the NHS to practise unethically and harm an unquantifiable number of children by placing patient autonomy above all the other principles of medical ethics.
The WELLBN Patient Safety Investigation Report raises profound questions about clinical governance, safeguarding, informed consent and professional accountability.
This is a medical scandal and an example of exceptionalism. Would this have been enabled in any other specialty?
Dr Alice Hodkinson of @biologyinmed and WRN gives her highly informed view on the model of informed consent used by Dr Sam Hall, a transactivist woman who says she’s a man.
It's a case of 'you demand, we deliver' and is a 'complete failure of regulation'.
Dr Alice lists just some of the horrendous health implications for children prescribed cross sex hormones. Where were the @gmcuk and @NHS in all this - why was it left to parents to escalate this scandal?
@CDP1882@miriam_cates@GBNEWS
@Bumbleb58352158@jo_bartosch The sooner that people start to understand that enabling a relative's opposite/neither sex pretence is not kind, loving or supportive, the better.
@nickwallis@trudylynch64 "Informed consent' is irrelevant in these cases. Interventions that could cause infertility should only be given if the only lifesaving treatment available for serious illness. Not to try to make a healthy person look like the opposite/neither sex or to prevent healthy puberty.
We don’t give out cannabis or heroin or cocaine on the NHS to young people who want it.
Insisting people must given medication that is harmful, otherwise they may source drugs illegally is a terrible argument.
@JillCollier16@nickwallis@msjlindsay It's so frustrating. How many more people are going to be harmed before the medical profession decides to stop these inappropriate interventions?
@SamJayASaurus@nickwallis@NHS@NuffieldHealth Even done on adults, these harmful hormonal and surgical interventions should not be done at all. Legal and medically approved but should not be. Stop all opposite/neither-sex-pretence medical interventions, for everyone.
No young adults should be getting this devastating surgery on NHS. Easily arguably nobody at all should get this radical body modification intervention.
We can’t stop people going abroad but we should not be encouraging here.
.@NHSEngland .@DHSCgovuk
What are you going to do about it?
@GussieGrips@sharrond62 Best they can do currently, but it shouldn't be necessary. Still the first thing a healthcare worker sees on opening the record is a field stating 'gender' but not 'sex' and either 'male' or 'female' in this field. The instant assumption is this means the patient's sex. Not safe
@sharrond62 'Gender' does not need to be included in a patient's identifying data at all. 'Male' and 'female' on a patient's records should be a true record of the sex of the patient. 'Gender' and 'gender identity' are deliberately confusing ideological terms that medics need to stop using.
Will the Westminster and the current Welsh government ban the deceptive Vaginoplasty operations with immediate effect? This surgery is harmful to our youth. Even if one of the youth deceived by these operations regret the procedure (in my opinion many will), it is unacceptable.

@biologyinmed@_CryMiaRiver Yes, there is no age cut-off at which these interventions become appropriate. They are antiscientific and harmful with no benefit to health for anyone, only a short-lived sense of satisfaction for a misguided person who is then left to deal with the harmful consequences.
Sure, ban catapults. But also find out why on earth there is this surge in animal cruelty by children & adolescents. Why think this is fun & acceptable? Aren't they learning their behaviour has real-life consequences & isn't just something to film & comment on to make content?
🚨 Ban Catapults NOW!! 🚫
There is a major and highly concerning surge in teenagers and children using high-powered catapults to kill and torture wildlife and pets across the United Kingdom. Animal welfare charities, police forces, and local communities are actively campaigning for stricter laws to curb this trend, which is largely driven by viral social media challenges.
Perpetrators are primarily targeting large, slow-moving water birds like swans, Canada geese, and ducks. However, attacks have also been recorded against pigeons, gulls, squirrels, foxes, deer, and domestic pets like dogs and cats.
Makes me so angry that a young woman is left to accept the results of medical harm that should never have been offered or done in the first place. The mistake is the professionals', not hers
If more prominent, trusted people start calling out transgender ideology then more people will realise how harmful it is to our children and young adults.
Our medical institutions most start taking responsibility for the harms they are doing.
STOP cross sex interventions NOW 🛑
