I used the opportunity during the funeral service of the late Justice David Majanja to assure Kenyans that the Judiciary will continue to uphold the legacy of Justice Majanja, who believed in constitutionalism and the rich promise of human rights and gender equality enshrined in the Constitution. The courts will continue to be the last independent bastion of the rule of law and constitutional protection.

The Bill of Rights guarantees fundamental rights and freedoms, including the right to life. Therefore, I condemn the unnecessary loss of young Kenyan lives during peaceful demonstrations and protests. At the same time, I urge all those joining the protests to respect the rights to property and the economic lives and livelihoods of others by demonstrating peacefully and by ensuring that protests are not misused to cause harm and injustice to other citizens.

I also condemn the rising cases of femicide, where women have been killed under unclear circumstances that are still under investigation. The Judiciary respects the mandate of the agencies responsible for investigating these incidents and urges them to swiftly investigate and take action against those found culpable for violating the right to life during protests and alleged cases of femicide.

It is also important to note that judges and judicial officers have a constitutional duty of silence to uphold their independence and impartiality. Judges speak on matters of public interest through their judgments and rulings. This duty protects the Judiciary's independence and impartiality, as political disputes can eventually become legal disputes that come to court.

Therefore, I urge Kenyans to understand and protect this duty, allowing judges to refrain from commenting on ongoing political disputes.

As you scramble for viewership at this critical turning point in our Country's history, I urge you to remember the role Media plays in perpertuating violence in conflict torn countries due to absence of constructive news reporting.

As you tirelessly fuel a narrative of 'youth' led political unrest across the Country, I remind you of the danger of distorting reality and magnifying situations to serve self- interest at the expense of unity and peace in the country.

Media Council and Communication Authority of Kenya Must hold Media Houses Responsible and Accountable in the role they play in influencing violence in the country. If we tarnish Kenya's image and contribute to burning this country, there will be no viewers to tune in and we will serve as an example of a failed country to the very Western Players that are pushing and financing this Chaos.

There is no doubt that there are foreign players including NGO's who are currently funding some youth to burn this country.

We Must Remember that when the wave of instability and violence rocks a country, it wipes out every standing institution and affects all livelihoods. I urge all media houses to take lessons from @KTNNewsKE Kenya Television Network(KTN) in their constructive news reporting.

All community stakeholders must strive to unify and give dialogue a chance in forging a new chapter for our country.
