You don’t have to agree with the ambassador’s statement, but I think it’s too easily dismissed.
1/1When Columbus sailed west, Jerusalem was still very much on his mind. In his own writings, he connected his voyages to the hope of helping recover the Holy Land.
1/3 So when people say America has nothing to do with Jerusalem, history is a bit more complicated than that. You can make a reasonable argument that Jerusalem helped shape the ideas and ambitions that ultimately contributed to America’s origins long before America existed.
This risks dragging the US into nuclear conflict. The moral question: would you use a nuclear weapon knowing 2 million innocent civilians would die for a “greater” outcome? The answer we all know: yes
@realDonaldTrump Whenever the US moves toward a deal with Iran, Israel escalates tensions. If a ceasefire is declared, Israel could target Iranian civilian infrastructure—power, water, gas—prompting retaliation against Gulf states and Israel.
A U.S. ground invasion would likely precede any consideration of using Nuclear weapons against the Iranian regime. However, if significant American casualties occurred—such as the return of 2,000 body bags—the U.S. might then escalate 2the use of nuclear weapons @realDonaldTrump
As a Kurdish individual opposed to the Iranian regime, I cannot and will not support U.S. imperialism or actions that result in the deaths of 168 children. In my view, the United States is not a solution but a central part of the problem.
Sudan 🇸🇩😡😡😡
There is no such thing as neutrality. In academia and educational institutions, neutrality often becomes a form of passive complicity in the injustices committed against individuals and communities.
The killing of innocent Jews is unacceptable — just as the killing of innocent Palestinians is intolerable. Both peoples suffer as victims of fundamentalist international liberal Zionism.
U must not hold Israel accountable 4striking Qatar. The US must be condemned. its global policies should no longer receive funding/support. Weakening the US will, in turn, weaken Isr. Its time 2redefine urself, adopt a new security vision.stop following outdated concepts blindly
It is evident that international Zionism is approaching its decline and is likely to collapse in the near future. For sure, it will collapse soon. No doubt.
Pro-Palestine activists are marching in London to protest against Israel’s war on Gaza, its blockade of aid to the enclave and policy of forced starvation, as well as its recent announcement that it will intensify its military assault and Israel’s security cabinet’s approval of a plan to occupy the Gaza Strip. Demonstrators are calling on the UK government to impose a full military embargo on Israel, end all military cooperation, suspend trade, and take concrete action to stop the war on Gaza.
Activists in London were arrested while protesting against the UK government’s ban on the direct action group Palestine Action.
The protest, organised by campaign group Defend Our Juries (DOJ), took place in Parliament Square to demand the reversal of the group’s proscription. Participants held cardboard signs reading: “I oppose genocide. I support Palestine Action.”
DOJ has held similar protests over the last month since the government moved to proscribe Palestine Action as a terrorist organisation on 4 July, making it a criminal offence to be a member of or show support for the group. Falling foul of the law is punishable by a sentence of up to 14 years in prison.
The proscription followed an incident in which members broke into RAF Brize Norton and spray-painted two planes they said were “used for military operations in Gaza and across the Middle East".
Since then, more than 200 people, including priests, vicars and former magistrates, have been arrested after police deemed them to have expressed support for the group.
