didn’t even know there was an election going on. as a registered voter in the state of pennsylvania, i wish someone could text me 12-15 times a day in an increasingly desperate tone about this upcoming event, which i had forgotten about
"Perfection is impossible.
In the 1,526 singles matches I played in my career, I won almost 80% of those matches.
But what percentage of points did I win?
54%
In other words, even top ranked tennis players win barely more than half the points they play.
When you lose ever second point on average, you learn not to dwell on every shot.
You teach yourself to think:
'Okay, I double faulted...it's only a point.'
'Okay, I came to the net and I got passed again...it's only a point.'
Even a great shot, an overhead backhand smash that ends up on ESPN's top 10 playlist – that too is just a point.
Here's why I'm telling you this.
When you're playing a point, it has to be the most important thing in the world. And it is.
But when it's behind you, it's behind you.
This mindset is crucial – because it frees you to fully commit to the next point with intensity, clarity, and focus."

New #Survivor twist idea:
Each episode a “Tribal Council” is held and everyone there MUST cast 1 vote to eliminate someone from the game - whoever receives the most votes goes. Then, when there are only 2 players left, a jury of 7-9 of their eliminated peers votes for a winner.
I don’t know if this is an unpopular opinion or not, but it is certainly a vent. We have got to stop wishing/hoping that the kids of today were more like the kids of yesteryears. I honestly do not believe for one minute that the kids in my own lifetime as a kid were any better+

Not every kid wants an A.
Not every kid wants to go to college.
Not every kid wants to play a sport.
But every kid wants to matter.
No matter what they want.

Only a teacher would know the moral dilemma of a copy machine jamming while you are using it, then having to decide between trying to fix it or being on time to your next class… And most of us have done both.
