Damn…
I just found out Michael Wright passed away.🤦🏻♂️ A lot of our OZ family have gone to the other side. I worked with Mike for 6 years on OZ and we lived 2 blocks away from each other in Hells Kitchen.
I remember one hot summer day I went up to his place and had a beer on his fire escape as he told me stories of how he grew up. We then drove around in his vintage Rolls-Royce, freaking Good times!!
Mike was mesmerizing when he was on screen, his intensity, honesty, and of course that voice! A gifted man!
Miss you brotha!🙏🏼😪

Your contributions to the genre flowed from the grotesque to the dynamically impossible. We hope you know how much you were loved by genre fans around the world.

“This whole world is wild at heart and weird on top.” With this torrid adaptation of the novel by Barry Gifford, David Lynch pushed his vision of nightmarish Americana into new realms of delirious excess and feverish romanticism.

THE LOST PATROL (1934) COMING TO BLU-RAY FROM THE WARNER ARCHIVE COLLECTION ON SEPTEMBER 22nd! NEW 2026 1080p HD MASTER FROM 4K SCAN FROM NITRATE PROTECTION ELEMENTS!
A shot rings out, the captain fails, and with him dies the knowledge of his unit’s mission. Now a stalwart sergeant takes charge as he and his men try to escape the surrounding unseen snipers, who fell their captain. They hold up at an oasis in the land that a Bible – touting soldier, notes was once the Garden of Eden. Filming in the searing Arizona desert, John Ford guides this powerful tale of men in mortality set in World War I Mesopotamia. Victor McLaglen, (who would claim the following year’s Best Actor (1935) Oscar® as Ford’s protagonist in The Informer), plays the sergeant. Boris Karloff is the religious firebrand who zeal turns into feverish madness. And the forgiving terrain is as much an enemy as the sniper it conceals. Once Eden, now a hell.
