We cannot see the source of the ocean
We cannot see the source of the lagoon
Humans will not discover your secrets
Because it is one Ifá verse that said
Olúkòbínú (the Chief without malice) is the name we call Ifá
Ọlọ́mọ àjíyọ̀sínú (a good hearted person) is the name we call Odù
Òjíníkùtùkùtù-rẹ́rìnín-la-ìlú-já (someone who wakes early in the morning smiling across the town) is the name we call oṣù para
It is Òòyọ who says if you see us, you should be happy with us
It is Ẹ̀kúkú who says if you see us, you should discard the evil in you
Because nobody holds honey in his mouth and spits in disgust
A whole town does not gather together and make enmity with the salt
People will not declare war on us
People will not refuse our words
Whatever our wishes are, provided they are good will receive the blessings of the society by the power of Èdùmàrè - Àṣẹ.

Interesting observation.
Christians often portray Èṣù as the embodiment of evil. Yet in Yorùbá thought, Èṣù is the divine messenger who stands at the crossroads and carries sacrifices and prayers between humans and Olódùmarè.
In the New Testament, Jesus says, “No one comes to the Father except through me.”
Different religions, different theologies; but it’s interesting that both describe a unique mediating role between humanity and the Supreme Being.
Makes you wonder how much of the demonization comes from misunderstanding rather than genuine engagement with Yorùbá beliefs.
Da Vinci Code. One of the best, mind twisting books ever written.
If you are living in Lebanon, Syria, Jordan and India, you can't find this book, because it has been banned & restricted.
A notorious NBM (Aye) cultist named Abdullahi Jimoh, alias Snatcher, was arrested with a gvn by local vigilantes in the Alagbado area of Ilorin, Kwara State.
Snatcher is a violent NBM cultist linked to several k**lings in Ilorin. He is also a double cross-carpeter who cross-carpeted from Eiye to KK before cross-carpeting from KK to Aye.
Snatcher does not live in Alagbado but came to the area to carry out a cult k**ling. While he was there, he went to buy drinks before people noticed the gvn on him, raised an alarm, and alerted security.
The NBM cultist can be seen singing beautifully in this video as he mentions the names of other NBM criminals. He mentioned names such as Usman, Jamiu, and a notorious NBM cultist known as Ladi Eshi. He also mentioned the name of their NBM number 1 man, known as Ikorodu, who is from Lagos but resides in the Gambari area of Ilorin.

Algorithms Are Colonising African Youths
Nigerian historian Iyo Obietonbara argues that social media algorithms are a tool of colonialism, influencing what African youths consider valuable. Instead of building organisations to struggle for liberation, many of our young people are making videos about trivial matters.
