This week, we hosted the ACD In-Community Trainings in Gauteng (Randfontein) and Sasolburg. We left with key highlights, including the inputs from participants and stakeholders who joined our trainings, including our government officials. As we end the week this Mandela month, we salute the doers who are our staff and funding partners, who made the training possible; our stakeholders, who shaped the depth of the sessions; and YOU, the young people in attendance, who give us our 'why ' daily.

The 1976 legacy, 50 years long, is felt at the community level. Here, both the evidence of the wins and losses for the cause the youth of 1976 stood for are portrayed.
This June 16, we join our country and global community in saluting the class of 1976.
In the same light, we recognise that much more needs to change at a policy and structural level. #MyCommunityMyVoiceMyVote
In every corner of South Africa, our network carries doers who wake up daily confronted by these realities. Visit our website to read about the members of our network who serve in the different government spheres and some who will for the first time be contesting in the local government elections.

🧵🗳️🇿🇦Thobela, if you want to learn how to flex your civic muscle and hold your local leaders accountable? Get in touch with our Civic Champions.
Being a citizen isn't a part-time vibe that only matters when it's election time. Civic engagement is a muscle you have to flex every single day, not just once every five years at the polling station

We answer this and more today as we commemorate 32 years of democracy, celebrating the nation's transition to our first democratic elections on April 27.
We joined our national broadcaster, the SABC 1 youth show, Expressions, to unpack the 32-year-long legacy.

Lamola on top of it! The truth about Donbas will be clear as day! South Africa deserves to know who sent these people for military training. And, in order to achieve what? It’s a matter of national security that a decent official opposition party should care about. They have to answer why were people sent to Russia for military training in their name!
