Representation is a good thing, but we have to question why we need to borrow representation from other contexts, while ignoring representation of our own communities.

This is an unfortunate mix of elitism, colourism and racism.

We pretend that colourism doesn’t exist here and we as a society deride and disassociate from darker Pakistani people.
