The colder it gets, the rougher life gets.
We've been forced into 1 room of our home because it's the only room with heat.
Hubby was injured at work last month and is finally returning next week.
I'm crazy busy in medical school.
At least we have each other <3

Christmas is not an easy time of year for everyone
It is not always a jolly, relaxed time
It can be frustrating, isolating, & can be a cruel reminder of things rather forgotten
We understand that & we are here for you
DM us if you need someone to talk to 😇💙

Housing for Canadians is a human right.
It should also be a human right not to be able to deny a renter's rights to have or adopt children.
We live in constant fear that if we were to become pregnant, we would be evicted. It's not right

My husband and I have been threatened with homelessness if we were to become pregnant.
Our rental denies us our rights to have children, or to adopt.
It's absolutely atrocious that they can deny us our rights like that.

My husband deserves a stable home. We deserve a stable home.
Somewhere we could start a family, and not live in constant fear.
If we were to become pregnant, we would get evicted. How is that even legal or fair?

All Canadians deserve somewhere warm and safe to live.
Unfortunately, my husband and I are denied our rights in our rental. We are denied the right to have children, or to adopt. How is that even legal?

I was born 3 months premature 25 years ago. Mom and I almost died. The Alberta Children's Hospital held me until I was almost a year old before I could go home. 18 years later, they found my spinal deformity. My life will never be normal, but I'm thankful for every extra day.

We believe housing is a human right. Last year, over 27,000 people accessed housing through the YMCA. We support #legislateR2H in their call for the #NationalHousingStrategy to recognize housing as a human right. #NationalHousingDay

This #NationalHousingDay, let's make sure we're closer to ending homelessness than ever before. Now is the time to legislate the right to housing.

Today is #NationalHousingDay! The main philosophy of Housing First is that "people are better able to move forward with their lives if they are first housed." Read more about Housing Firsts' recovery-based approach towards ending homelessness here: https://t.co/m4CWJ2mzPI

#DidYouKnow that 1/8 households in Canada are in core housing need? Habitat’s affordable homeownership model is an important bridge in the housing continuum, helping to build stronger, more stable communities. 🏠 #NationalHousingDay

Sorry for our absence @Twitter
Things have gotten rough at work, school is extra exhausting, and I've just really been an emotional mess lately.
Thankfully, Erik is my rock. He is always so strong for me. <3
I wish I could be strong for him
