Finished my first Master Grade #GunPla, the RX-78-2 ver1.5! Added the rub on decals and stickers, as well as some minor customization painting thanks to a surprise gift of metallic #Gundam Markers from @g4m3chixor :)
I didn’t go to college to study art because I couldn’t afford it. I spent 8 years with various day jobs, while learning and pushing myself to keep drawing evenings and weekends in the hope to get a career in comics.
You don’t want to put in the work, you want a flimsy shortcut.
Got some work done on my first Master Grade #GunPla! I’m amazed at the leg mechanics, and this kit is over 20 years old! I can only imagine what a modern Master Grade looks like - I’ll find out one day. :) #Gundam
@blakeprimrose I’m really looking forward to it! I missed the expansion set preorder but I’m gonna track one down at some point too. Got a Rising Gundam (Rain’s Gundam, brief as it was) to pair with it in the meantime!
@sunset_krakoa I love seeing stuff like this, Taki’s focus issue in SWORD, Karma’s retaining her prosthetic, etc. I like they didn’t turn Krakoa into a magic button to “fix” people without consideration.
@lilOmega7 I also think, in some ways, if you’re effectively immortal that carrying these things with you matters. It grounds you and reminds you of who you are and where you came from. If you keep carving away the scrapes and bruises and scars, how much does that change you years later?
@lilOmega7 I think at this point it’s similar to someone like Karma or Taki - this is part of who he is, and at this point he knows how to live with it and lived in a place that makes it not need “fixing.”
