I think it’s on the players. Their shot selection and finishing touch was not there. Also too many turnovers. Other countries had bigger players in matchups and outshot Canada in almost all of them. We tried to play physical but could not defend full games. 🏀

I'm quite a close follower of our 🇨🇦 women's program so I found this Olympics to be quite disappointing. I went for a walk, reached out to some folks familiar with the team and have some thoughts in this thread.

- There seems to be a blame the coach feeling out there. I get it ,when you play this bad that's something to consider, but a more nuanced view might be in order. It's hard to reconcile how bad we played, with the fact that less than two years ago this same coach and group of players finished fourth in the 2022 FIBA World Cup.

Olympic 10,000m champion Joshua Cheptegei and Jacob Kiplimo have withdrawn from tomorrow’s 5000m.

Canada’s 🇨🇦 Moh Ahmed finished fourth in the 10000m — and finished in second behind Cheptegei in the 5000m in Tokyo.

Hold on folks. Moh will be pushing hard for gold.
