Says the representative of one of the greatest colonial empires the world has ever seen - the Ottoman Empire. Genocider avant la lettre. The big laggard when it came to abolishing slavery. Castrator of slave boys and rapist of female harem slaves. Recognize that first perhaps.
Quite the chutzpah for Turkey to open this kettle of fish.
If Turkey is now committed to "decolonization," does that mean they will give back the lands taken from the many ethnic and religious minorities who have been victims of Ottoman & Turkish imperialism?
Will the Armenians have their ancient lands restored to them, or receive reparations for the genocide inflicted on them in 1915?
The Kurds given the right of self-determination?
The ancient Greek regions returned?
Will the 1974 Turkish invasion and occupation of Northern Cyprus be reversed?
Will the descendants of Jewish families who fled Kemalist policies of forced assimilation be given compensation?
Will the Hagia Sophia be returned the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate, from whom it was stolen?
Will there be a truth & reconciliation project recognizing the millions of slaves taken & trafficked by the Ottoman Empire, particularly the countless boys kidnapped from Balkan Christian families for forced military service?
Will compensation be given to Christians for the hundred of Churches and monasteries destroyed?
The possibilities for Turkish decolonization are endless.
Geologist Ian Plimer demolishes the "climate science hysteria" underpinning Net Zero.
"You cannot run an industrial economy on sea breezes and sunbeams... It's totally ridiculous."
"Carbon dioxide is plant food... Without carbon dioxide you have no life on Earth."
ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING. They put TWO-TIER POLICING in writing.
The National Police Coordination Centre. The body that coordinates every police force in Britain.
During the BLM riots, they listed arresting people for ASSAULT ON POLICE or CRIMINAL DAMAGE as a trigger point. Something forces should weigh up first.
Not a duty. A RISK.
62 officers assaulted in London alone. Kicked to the ground. Pelted with bottles. Chased down Whitehall with sticks and rocks.
One of them has a name. PC NICKY VERNON, 47. A protester rolled a bike into her horse outside Downing Street. Thrown into traffic lights. Fractured spine. Broken ribs. Broken collarbone. Punctured lung. Head injury. Eight days in hospital. Four years on, still treated for PTSD.
She had to sue the Met for £200,000 to be heard. The only person in this story who fought for accountability is the one who got hurt.
In Northern Ireland, 14 people reported to prosecutors over those protests were told no charges would follow. Not one.
Now hold that against 2024. Over 1,000 arrested after Southport. 460 before magistrates inside a fortnight. Starmer boasting that rapid sentencing was a deterrent.
Harry Farrer, 22, no previous. Threw a plant at an officer's back. 2 years 3 months.
Peter Lynch, 61, a grandfather. The judge accepted he attacked NOBODY. 2 years 8 months. Found dead in his cell two months later.
Both crowds were reacting to a death. One to a man in Minneapolis. One to three little girls in a dance class.
One got a risk assessment about community tensions. The other got the full force of the state inside 48 hours.
The machine can move fast. It can move hard. It knows exactly how.
It just decides who it moves against and before anyone makes this party political, the Home Secretary in 2020 was PRITI PATEL. This rot is older than any one government.
People have been called conspiracy theorists for years for saying this out loud.
Turns out it wasn't a theory. It was a POLICY DOCUMENT.

Five years ago today I buried my 12-year-old daughter Semina.
After reporting to police she had been groomed, raped, beaten and bullied Semina took her own life after being told it was her word against his.
18 months later an IOPC report showed that the detective in charge of the case had an admission of guilt but failed to arrest him.
Semina nor myself were told at the time he had admitted to the rape, if she had been told she would still be here instead she was failed by all authorities payed to protect her and died thinking she wasnt believed. 💔
Cleo Lake, 20, said no to a man outside a Bournemouth nightclub. He knocked her UNCONSCIOUS in the street.
He got SIX MONTHS. That number wasn’t hers to choose.
The judge gave him every day she was allowed to. The problem sits above her.
District Judge Orla Austin called it an exceptional case. Very serious violence against a young woman who simply rejected him. She said she didn't believe a word of his defence. Then she gave him every single day she was allowed to give.
Six months was the CEILING. Not her judgement. The limit and that limit was set long before she ever saw the file, by whoever chose what to charge him with.
Here's how that choice gets made. The CPS publish it. Their own charging guidance tells prosecutors to begin by asking whether the court will have adequate powers to sentence IF THE LESSER OFFENCE IS CHARGED.
Not what did he do. Not what does she deserve.
Will the smaller charge do.
The same guidance lists what should push it higher. A particularly serious way of committing an assault. Kicking. A vulnerable victim. Repeated conduct. A relevant past history.
He tried to KICK her first. Then punched her full force. She lay unconscious for five minutes while he ran.
A week earlier he'd been convicted of assaulting a Subway worker.
Every trigger in their own guidance. Every single one. Somebody watched that CCTV and decided the lesser charge would do.
That's where this was decided. Not in a courtroom. In an office.
Now the man himself. Abdoela Berhan, 35. Eritrean. A failed asylum seeker who should have been deported, living at the Britannia Hotel at your expense.
And nobody will say whether he's being DEPORTED when he walks out.
After the Subway conviction he didn't turn up to court. TWO arrest warrants were issued. He was still at large in MAY this year. Seventeen months, two warrants, a known address in taxpayer funded accommodation.
Nobody knocked on the door. He wasn't hiding. He was never looked for.
In court, through an interpreter, he said a 20 year old girl had intimidated him and he was defending himself with his elbows.
Her mother, Helen O'Brien, said the impact of leaving Cleo in a crumpled, bloody mess in that alley has lasted far longer than six months for their family.
He'll be out in months.
She carries hers for life.
A failed "asylum seeker" who raped a schoolgirl has claimed he cannot be deported back to Egypt because he is bisexual.
Karam Majdi was jailed for seven years in May 2018 after being convicted of raping the 14-year-old following a six-day trial at Brighton Crown Court.
He's claiming he'll be persecuted in his home country.
Good.
Deport!
A young woman turns him down.
He knocks her out cold. Breaks her nose. An Eritrean asylum seeker in a hotel you’re paying for.
Six months.
She got a lifetime of looking over her shoulder. He got a bed, three meals, and a plane ticket he’ll never be made to use.
Far from taking more, we ought to deport them all.
When Jews lived as dhimmis under Islamic rule, Muslims had no issue acknowledging the Jewish connection to the Temple Mount.
That was taken as an obvious historical truth. For example, in 1925 the Supreme Muslim Council published a guidebook to the Haram al-Sharif. On page 4 it said:
“The site is one of the oldest in the world. Its sanctity dates from the earliest times. Its identity with the site of Solomon’s Temple is beyond dispute.”
That was the mainstream Muslim position for centuries. The Temple Mount was recognized as the location of the ancient Jewish Temple.
There was no denial, no attempt to erase Jewish history, because Jews were under Islamic domination, without sovereignty, and therefore posed no political threat.
But everything changed with the collapse of the Ottoman Caliphate and the introduction of nation-states under the British and the French.
Once the idea of Jewish sovereignty became possible, Jews ruling themselves on their ancestral land, the Muslim world could no longer tolerate the acknowledgment of Jewish history.
This is why the modern denial of Jewish history began, why the Palestinian identity was manufactured and why Muslims suddenly began denying the Jewish connection to the land.
What’s crazy about this interview….. this reporter has no idea that she and those like her… are the problem.
She never will ….. even when Elon explains it as plain as day!!
I have no idea where in the UK this woman lives, but I do know she is living in a dream world.
I hope someone does escort her around London, Rotherham, and other parts of the UK to show her how our towns and cities are starting to look like third-world shitholes. Rape, gangs, and crime are through the roof and are happening everywhere.
@jordanbpeterson@elon I think "evil enough to be part of the British Establishment" might have been more accurate, and even there not every one of them is.
Detractors claim COVID was six years ago and question why we still care. The deep state is still here, as it always has been. Timing is irrelevant. What matters is that they are exposed and the American people get justice.
@TheEconomist@elonmusk@zannymb He is correct, and not to put too finer point on it as Trump says the MSM are, whether it is intentional or otherwise, the enemies of the people. More are waking up to this, albeit at a very slow rate.
@Miss_Snuffy@stellacreasy However, having unserious people or those of low or moderate intelligence in positions of power and influence is highly damaging. I would say their lack of concern for the British Citizen is the cherry on top. Does anyone think we have higher quality people now vs 50 years ago?
