Christophe (engineer) had to spice some extra tape onto the reel, so the band could fit two takes on. They could only ever have two takes, so brave decisions had to be made constantly.
This is fantastic. I had the great pleasure of being assistant engineer on this record. No studio trickery (aside from real plate reverb and Tape echo) involved. This is how they sounded in the room. Incredible.
