Trump is out here talking about “the deep state” as if he doesn’t control the house, senate, White House, AND THE SUPREME COURT 🤣! Bro YOU are the deep state. DELUSIONAL!
Massie: "I don't think the problem is that our elections aren't secure because we control the House, Senate, White House, and to some degree we control the Supreme Court. So I ask my Republican colleagues, why are you complaining about election fraud? We won all the damn elections!"
Premier, no one doubts our firefighters'/emergency responders' commitment. They deserve every resource they need.
But preparedness isn't measured by what you spend AFTER communities are burning. It's measured by whether you've planned for the increasingly severe fire seasons you know are coming.
This year's wildfire budget was $150 million, after Ontario spent roughly $271 million last year. The Auditor General also identified significant gaps in wildfire preparedness, planning, and implementation that remain largely unresolved.
Northern Ontario needs more than assurances that money will be found once the crisis is underway. We need evidence that emergency management is keeping pace with the reality we're facing.
You failed to plan.
That is a leader's role.

🚨BREAKING: Trump’s voter fraud speech is BACKFIRING as Americans flood social media with the recording of Trump demanding Georgia “find 11,780 votes” after he lost the 2020 election.
Trump is the last person on Earth who should be talking about election fraud.
The Canadian media avoids any mention of the climate crisis when reporting on record-breaking heat, wildfires, floods, tornados, even extreme weather forcing cancellation of Canada Day activities in Ottawa, because the capitalists who control the media are all-in on fossil fuels.
Thomas Massie on Trump’s speech to the nation tonight about election fraud:
“We control the House, Senate, White House, and Supreme Court, so I ask my Republican colleagues, why are you complaining about election fraud? We won all the elections!”
This is all a distraction from the fact that our elections actually are rigged, but not in the way Trump or even Democrats ever claim.
Our elections are rigged by corporations and billionaires who buy off and bribe both parties to tilt the economy in their favor, creating an unbalanced society that’s rigged for the rich.
Elections under capitalism are a sham, as they don’t produce democracy for the people. They only produce democracy for the rich.
Elections under capitalism are simply a mechanism of control for the ruling class to keep the masses divided and trapped in the very system that’s rigged against us.
From the Ontario Association of Fire Chiefs... their words, not mine @fordnation .
"For at least the past 10 years, the province has underbudgeted for firefighting, sometimes spending twice what it planned."

There is endless footage of Pretti and Good’s killings and there’s been no justice. Body cameras are mass surveillance tools for Palantir facial scanning software, and ICE turns them off when convenient. There’s no shortcut — there must be abolition. https://t.co/3R4Dxgh6ww
"Just put the fires out!"
Ever seen a boreal wildfire? I have. I used to fight them.
When fire behaviour becomes extreme, you're not getting close to them.
The radiant heat from a crown fire is face-melting from hundreds of metres away.
All attempts at direct attack will fail, because dropping water on it becomes akin to trying to spit on a campfire...it evaporates before it even hits the flames.
Additionally, reduced visibility, high winds, and turbulence makes aerial attack hazardous.
As a wildland firefighter, I've been extracted off of wildfires twice as our fires blew up, both times having our gear burned over. We returned to find firehoses and metal melted into the ash.
I've seen fireballs launched hundreds of feet high, and fires intense enough to produce lightning, influencing the weather around them. I've seen wildfires grow to the size of a major city in a short period of time.
So no, we can't just put the fire out.
Not being able to stop such a natural process is a truly humbling feeling.
Incredibly brazen for the Prime Minister to boast about the “lasting benefits” of expanding fossil fuel production on a day like today.
Record-breaking heatwaves. Toxic smoke engulfing cities and towns. Out of control wildfires forcing entire communities to evacuate.
This government is spending billions of dollars in public money to expand the very industry that’s causing climate breakdown — at a moment when renewables are cheaper and more available than ever before.
No more climate-wrecking corporate welfare. We need a government that protects the people and places we love.
🚨House Democrats just voted 103-98, with 10 voting "present," to eliminate all aid to Israel.
Proposing this a few years ago would practically have gotten you censured. Cutting off all aid to Israel is now the majority position inside the House Democratic caucus.
Nearly every Republican voted with Israel, making the final vote 314 - 104 in favor of Israel (with 10 present).
Today, Magnum ordered the @benandjerrysfoundation out of its own corporate office.

🎥 “Was he holding a pistol, or a rifle? What was he doing? He was playing in the tent… his mother’s only son.”
The Israeli military shot 10-year-old Motaz Marwan Abu Shaar in the heart in Gaza today, killing him, his family told Drop Site.
Motaz’s aunt, Nawal Abu Shaar, said he was playing inside the family’s tent when he was struck. His father, brother, and grandmother had previously been killed while displaced in the Miraj area, forcing the surviving family members to flee in search of safety.
“There is no safe place,” his uncle, Faraj Abu Shaar, said. “There are no safe tents, no safe zones, and no humanitarian zones.”
“Does he not have the right to live?” Nawal asked. “Does he not have the right to play, learn, grow up, and become an adult?”
