Custom Transformers: Shattered Glass Skywarp

Probably one of my favorite customs I’ve ever done, from the idea to doing it to the result

I should’ve bought strongarm. It’s also an insult to women and fans of her series but at least i could repaint it into combiner wars off-road. Purple sideburn’s parts aren’t even good for scratch. The only good parts are the head and the gun.

The fact that he was allowed to design a whole new mold for a character with one of the most widespread, easy to do, universally successful transformation schemes and chose to make earthrise arcee wearing side burn’s skin is so insulting.

Shadow striker’s designer has been doing this shit for years and yet his redux is so un-engaging. At least side burn’s parts all shift around in an interesting way, especially that chest wheel, I love that shit

Side burn has the proportions of a real human being and a real car. He was the first toy from a now celebrated tf designer, during a time when the design philosophy and technology

Legacy Shadow Striker is even more infuriating in person.

It’s like the sexist incel that designed it KNEW that the only good part was the head, and intentionally made it incompatible with any figure that actually looks like her.

And painted-over light piping.

The head is the only thing preventing you from slipping the whole thing out of the plastic ties and thus the box. You can turn the head around in the package and unscrew the face, allowing you enough access to unscrew the back and claim the rest of the head

He’s never seen a real car either. In person you don’t even pay attention to the comically small windows and windscreen or the moronic lack of a front bumper, when the rear wheels have no fucking fenders

I got it to qualify for one of those target circle deals along with rhinox and the rotb battle masters.

I recommend either shoplifting the whole thing or cutting the head off in store. The chest was designed to imprison its only good quality.
