@GarlicestWall yeah at least for cmu you need to take an intro to engineering (ece meche civil etc) both your fall and your spring semester. and then within the school of engineering there are classes everyone has to take (physics, ling alg/calc 3, programming) and chem for everyone but ece

@GarlicestWall because i still graduate on time. but basically you could just major in ece minor in cs and thats basically like maybe even better (idk depending on the person) but thats what im gonna do or maybe im gonna hate ece and declare meche who knows but just a thought hope this helps

@GarlicestWall ...your major meaning that if you have a year of taking general engineering/intro classes to decide what you are interested in. so basically i applied meche to cmu got in but im taking intro to ece first semester and even if i dont major in ece its fine (2/3)
