I paid $20 on active players, but cap says $10 active and $10 dead.

@SpaceCatsPod One of my favorites, Unmatched, has inconsistent balance and I love it just the same.

Key with balance is it has to at least seem fair. If it’s too unbalanced where one player barely has a chance that isn’t fun.

I care more about having fun playing than winning.

@Akilaverse Interesting idea, but my initial reaction is that these tags would cause a decrease in funding and creators would stop using them. And/or backers would still have the same expectations regardless of the tags.

Also new expansion is being crowdfunded in October plus the target exclusive game. So might be best to wait to get a new version.

@DanielKeim93 @Boardgamefeast Yeah the power progression feels especially geared towards players not as familiar with card drafting/deck building mechanics.

As well as making sure you unlock you innate powers which can be easy for a new player to ignore.

But I never use them when teaching new players.

@Boardgamefeast @DanielKeim93 Not using the special power card progression decks of the base 4 spirits can help you some though. Using the standard power draft (draw 4, keep 1) will help you more quickly cover your weaknesses.

@Boardgamefeast @DanielKeim93 Yeah there are 4 that are beginner friendly. Each is specially geared in one aspect (offense, defense, control, and fear). This is where just one gets tricky as it leaves you weak in the other areas.

Some of the more complex spirits have better balance.

@PatrickLeder Detailing b I was backer #12 on Marauder, but I didn’t receive my copy till June.

Whereas as soon as pledge manager opened I could have selected all in and had my card charged much later and the price I paid, product and time I received it all been about the same (if not exact).
