Exactly! Makers are thriving on creative liberty to show powerful feminism.
Sita knowing how to handle a sword doesn't mean she violates the cosmic plan.
She stayed a captive because DESTINY required Ram to defeat Ravan.
Why is a goddess holding a weapon so triggering to some?
The entire โSita wasnโt a warrior in Valmiki so how dare she hold a swordโ discourse is peak intellectual bankruptcy, especially from people who cheerfully swallow every other liberty taken with the same text.
No Lakshman Rekha exists in Valmiki. Sita herself accuses Lakshmana of harbouring ill intentions before the abduction. Hanumanโs primary weapon isnโt a gada. The minutiae of their forest existence are routinely ignored or embellished. Yet none of these deviations trigger the same outrage. The moment the beloved Mata is allowed to wave a sword, however, the self-appointed guardians of โtraditionโ suddenly discover their deep fidelity to the original.
There are over 300 versions of the Ramayana. Many of them alter the core plot so drastically that the story is barely recognisable. This particular film does not. It presents a Sita who remains soft, beautiful, well-versed in the Vedas, and possessed of a clear point of view while also being capable of handling a weapon. For some, that single addition somehow constitutes an unforgivable distortion of the epicโs essence.
The attitude of those who treat the scriptures as private property they alone are entitled to interpret is simply obnoxious. These are the same people who contribute almost nothing toward preserving or promoting the culture, yet the instant anyone else attempts to do so, they become the loudest critics. They can only cry foul when the West appropriates elements of the tradition and repackages them. The idea that an Indian might make a film on the epic and add one more facet to Sitaโs characterisation is apparently intolerable.
So perhaps the real issue is not fidelity to Valmiki at all. It is the inability to accept that the goddess they claim to revere might also be allowed a measure of strength without the entire narrative collapsing.โโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโโ

@aresthethird2 That was the point of shooting it in green & blue screen bhai so that they can change things anywhere & wherever to suit the frame.
Other movies which are shoot on real locations can't change things expect adding & they had to keep the frame in movie whether it is good or bad
@KshitizCritic We all know, Kerela and Tamil Nadu will barely contribute to box office. They just contribute to their local language movies.
I have hopes from telugu and kannada markets only.
@XpertLabAI mat dekh bhai, koi force nhi kar rha tujhe, jaise adipurush ko ignore kiya waise isse bhi karde.
tum log aise bhi kuch contribute nhi karte ho, piracy karke to dekhte ho
@BoxoffyMI bro this is official trailer 1 uploaded on sony's official channel on 12th aug on Weibo, I checked myself. It was uploaded 13 days after India release so expect Trailer 2 release soon in China and that will confirm their date also.
@tweetsbyjatin Stupid she was warrior but that doesn't mean she can defeat anyone, he was Ravana (who had won all 3 worlds), not some random asur, She also knows that she could not defeat him.

#Ramayana is a story every Indian storyteller grows up aspiring to tell. It's a joy to see @niteshtiwari22 and @malhotra_namit bring it to the screen on such a grand scale. Each actor brings these timeless characters to life with depth.
Looking forward to 5th November. Best wishes to the entire team.
