@Mindfullee@zhao_dashuai Oh I know right? I have this thing where I really want to know what is really going on in the world but then stumble down some super fucked and regrettable rabbit holes. Happy to share this terrible knowledge with all of you today! 😅
Theres not too much on it but there is one published book on it called “ Naramundo Khela” as well as a handful of articles online, and there are other videos I have seen in the local languages on YouTube so they’re hard to search for and from some other kinda sketchy sites (which I hate to say but that’s how I became aware that children’s bodies are sometimes involved) which I would not recommend at all
It gets worse I looked this up for 2 seconds and apparently exceptions to cremation are when a body is “pure” from worldly attachments (ie young children) or has specific medical conditions like leprosy or if a women died while pregnant. Meaning the bodies used in these rituals are probably infected with terrible diseases, pregnant women, or children 😳
@Zippedtothebone@zhao_dashuai Fucks sake I hadn’t considered that. Can you imagine not believing in any of this bulllshit one bit and your body being abused in this way?
It is dead people 😐 Partially decomposed which is why they look limp and emaciated. The practice is a tantric Hindu ritual devoted to shiva called Naramundo Khela or "the Skull Game" and part of Aghori Hinduism that basically worships filth and desecrates dead bodies in various ways…including decapitating and eating them. Also sometimes with bodies of children (I’m so sorry aghhh). So incredibly messed up.
I think this video is of the Gajan of Shiva ritual or Gajan Festival specifically the Naramundo Khela or "Skull Game" where practitioners dig up dead bodies and remove the heads and parade them around. It’s practiced in West Bengal, India and Bangladesh mostly by lower-caste devotees (Sannyasis or Bhaktas). It’s held annually around mid-April the end of the Bengali calendar year. But yeah just awful and sickening practice.
@NaGaTaToad@Dracobased I’m pretty sure it’s a ritual from India and Bangladesh called the “skull game” where they dig up and decapitate partially decomposed remains of adults and children which is why the corpse looks so emaciated. So stomach churningly vile aghhh
It’s systemic and intentional. It occurs at all stages of admission to keep conservatives or dissenting voices out of academia and registered professions. When I applied for phd programs, many applications required “EDI” statements outlining my “commitment” to advancing equity diversity and inclusion in the field. So people who aren’t saying the things they want to hear in these statements aren’t getting in. For those of us who do get in, pretty much every major funding application, scholarship, or opportunity requires similar statements. You can see how diverse perspectives are systemically filtered out at every level.
The 'woke' movement will never truly end.
The goalposts never stop moving because the goal is perpetual revolution.
Increasingly fringe groups don't get absorbed to be helped but rather, to keep the momentum going.
@FlipFlopFact@ZoomerHistorian Same, I’m just so sick seeing and reading about all the carnage in general, even in the last week alone. How much more do people have to take?
@emilyhewertson I am numb after reading this. Please everyone share share share. Talk about this with your friends and family. Place and keep this conversation at the front of the everyone’s awareness https://t.co/LJVCg7CJ5l
I’m extremely concerned about the implications of bill C-22 for health professionals who maintain sensitive electronic records.
If encrypted record keeping platforms are compromised professionals will need to return to time consuming paper charting to uphold the ethical standards of our professions. We will also be unable to use internet-delivered methods to provide care to underserved rural and remote communities. This would be a substantial burden for professionals in a healthcare system already under strain, and a major blow for vulnerable patients who rely on telehealth. I think this needs to be part of the discussion!
@WeAreCanProud In the same day Rupert Lowe dropped the horrific findings of the Muslim rape gang inquiry. The evidence is clearer than ever that we need to secure our borders and start deporting criminals immediately.
