@ali_mn_aljamri @Bissan_Fakih Great point on العالم العربي. Used it growing up & never realized how harmful it is (typical when you're the dominant group). This is another reason I prefer West Asia. I feel it doesn't erase non-Arab people & communities in our region the way 'Middle East' does

We only started using it in Arabic during colonization because we had to. It's what Europe was calling us so it was the only we they'd recognize us
