The WCL name comes from our place in the West Cheshire League, while also reflecting the fact that South Liverpool now have two teams competing at Step 7.

We feel this better represents us as a club and the direction we are heading in.

From the upcoming season, we will no longer be known as South Liverpool Reserves. Instead, we will be known as South Liverpool WCL. 1/2 ⚽️

We are delighted to say we are back home this season after 2 seasons away at Simpsons helping out neighbours MSB Woolton. We will play home games at Jericho Lane Hub. BUT we must wait a few more weeks, tomorrow’s game will be at the North Field⚪️⚫️🔴

Match Result - Helsby 5-1 South Liverpool Res. Always going to be a difficult task playing the current West Cheshire Champions. Our opponents have recruited very well. A 20 minute spell second half killed us. Not the start we wanted but our young squad will learn a lot from today

Our August fixtures, doesn’t get much tougher than going away to the current West Cheshire League Champions Helsby. We look forward to getting going Saturday with our new management team and new squad. Up the South⚪️⚫️🔴

Nice to end pre season with a win. A much changed squad from the weekend. It was important for us last night to get out a squad that will be pretty much there or thereabouts for Saturday’s league opener away to Helsby. The lads delivered a really positive performance. COTS⚪️⚫️🔴

Our last pre season friendly tonight and we take on Skelmersdale United. There’s been lots of new faces on show this pre season. Last friendly before our West Cheshire League campaign starts on Saturday.

Our first defeat of pre season today against a very well organised and energetic @Formby_Fc_ side. We probably edged the first half but Formby by far the better team second half and managed to get the 1-0 win. We play Skem on Wednesday at Home⚪️⚫️🔴
