Capistrano Beach was good to me today. Finished with a batray, thorn back, 5 leopard sharks and 3 croakers. All released except for one croaker harvested for bait. #capistranobeach #danapoint #surffishing #orangecounty #socal #fishing

The Leopard Sharks are moving in. Re-rigged the critter rod with larger baits. At 3 yellow fin croakers and 2 leopard sharks so far. Using the croaker as bait brought in the sharks. #surffishing #capistranobeach #danapoint #orangecounty #socal #fishing

OC beaches getting tossed, dropped back to Dana Harbor for a few hours. The marine layer kept it nice and cool on a hot day. Got a pair of skates and it still amazes me how they take 7/0 hooks. #surffishing #orangecounty #danapoint #socal #fishing

@SoCalFisherman You can find some good southern recipes for croaker. Check the California DFG site and it will tell you the number that are safe to eat per week in the area. Keep the head for bait for sharks and rays.
