This past weekend, former NFL quarterback Joe Theismann returned to South River for a street sign dedication ceremony. His childhood street, Arlington Avenue, was honorarily named Joe Theismann Way. After the ceremony, he took the time for a photo opportunity with our officers.

Earlier this week, juniors from South River High School participated in Fatal Vision with South River Police Officers. Students performed dexterity tasks, took part in mock field sobriety tests, & drove a golf cart all while wearing goggles designed to simulate being intoxicated.

Earlier this week, the residents of Willett Manor and South River Landing senior apartment buildings invited our department to visit them. They shared coffee, sandwiches, and snacks with our officers while spending time together and chatting with them. Thanks for your having us!

Earlier today, we held our annual Memorial Service at the police monument in front of our headquarters. The ceremony, held each year during National Police Week, honored fallen and deceased police officers. Thank you to all who attended for your support.
